X Purges Prominent Journalists, Leftists With No Explanation
  • I mean... Many anti Israel folks are borderline abusive. Denying rapes happened, trying to call Hamas freedom fighters, praising the Oct 7th attack etc. This is the exact shit (and worse) platforms have been demonetizing or removing people for except this time it's the "other side" doing it.

  • Israeli strike on Lebanon kills senior commander in elite Hezbollah unit
  • Israel has historically wiped the floor with most of these countries even without us aid.

Never forget they had like 5 countries try to invade in the war of 1948 and they fought back each one and in many cases conquered territory. (Example they had part of Egypt etc and gave it back).

Granted things have changed a bit but they still maintain a fairly significant military force.

    They aren't really worried.

  • In Gaza, wounded children with no surviving family - BBC News
  • A very quick search of Gaza and Wikipedia gives you all the info you need. The last cease fire was put in place May 13th 2023 prior to Oct 7th. Prior to that there was one in 2019 that lasted for 48 hours on paper before being breached by Palestinian militants. There were limits skirmishes until April 2023 when more rockets were fired by Hamas and Lebanon. Israel launched operation shield and arrow and then that May ceasefire prevailed until Oct 7th when Israel declared Hamas action a full on declaration of war and decided to stop pulling the punches and just end this shit.

  • In Gaza, wounded children with no surviving family - BBC News
  • After Oct 7th what can you do? The footage from that day that we've seen is beyond some of the sickest shit we've seen in years. And it's just the tip of the ice berg compared to what is being aired to governments.

Israel literally has rockets shot at it daily and then these so called "freedom fighters" came and killed elderly and tried to chop their heads off with a garden hoe while he's still alive.

Let alone the fact that many of the hostages were cheered on and taken by citizens (not Hamas) and the citizens returned escapees back to Hamas... It's really hard not to believe that Israel absolutely needs to remove and destroy Hamas. It's also not unreasonable to expect them to attack Hamas infrastructure before sending in ground troops, especially when the citizens are on their side.

The alternative is ... Ask for another ceasefire and watch the rockets keep coming?

  • Because one side went into homes and kidnapped kids and mothers and dragged them back to Gaza after being gang raped. The other arrested people actually committing crimes. What is with people trying to "not make assumptions" about a terror group?

The people trying to go around claiming that Hamas just defending themselves from colonizers are no better than Sandy Hook deniers and claiming crisis actors lol.

  • Running Signal Will Soon Cost $50 Million a Year
  • I mean citation needed... Levels.fyi. It literally lifts all the major tech company salaries and stock breakdown.

Also I was a hiring manager that competed against these companies during the pandemic. I know the salaries lol.

  • Mixed emotions as first group of Israeli hostages return from Gaza
  • They did report on it.

    To quote one article:

She was 18 when she was arrested and held in the Damon prison in Haifa, accused of stabbing an Israeli settler with a knife.

Tldr most of the other crimes are:

threatening security illegally entering Israel without a permit throwing stones supporting terrorism associating with hostile/unknown organisations.

Tldr it may seem weird to us, but women and children under these terrorist regimes are brought up to do terrible things and may not even realize it. Though Israel did say nobody convicted of murder would be freed though people convicted of attempted murder were eligible.

  • Running Signal Will Soon Cost $50 Million a Year
  • I also dunno signal itself. There's no leveling info or there. According to blind posts asking about the tc I quote.

"Work at signal currently and can say the pay is competitive. There’s no equity given it’s a nonprofit but there are many benefits that add up very quickly. Maxed out 401k match, which is ~$20k right there every year, as an example. As a nonprofit you can look at the 990 (I think the most updated one is from 2019 on propublica) that shows salaries for certain employees."

Reading other posts base salary goes up to 250k.

They don't give equity so maybe benefits being factored in.

  • Running Signal Will Soon Cost $50 Million a Year
  • What bullshit? Entry level sde 1 at Amazon is 176k. A senior with around 4 to 5 years of experience is 359k.

E5 at Facebook is 412k. Levels.fyi has all the stats.

Like if you're a company competing against these companies for talent that's what you gotta pay. During the pandemic it was even worse with people getting like 20-40k sign on bonuses etc too.
