  • Literally, the exact phrase that statement brought to my mind as well

  • Hunter Biden, the son of the president, is indicted on federal gun charges
  • bc one of their famed boogeymen is finally finding themselves in some sort of legal hot water. They've been foaming at the mouth to have HRC and/or George Soros locked up for years. This is the closest they've come to a "victory", according to their dumb propaganda.

  • Please stay off the counter, and don't do dumb shit. I don't want to yell at you, but it's hard to not when you look me in the face while ignoring me.

I love you. Always. Even when I'm mad at you for doing dumb shit.

...and probably a bunch of other stuff, bc this isn't nearly even a tight 5

  • I tell my cats I love them every day. Even the skittish one that hides bc he's scared of everything. I do it in an effort to make him know that I'm always thinking about him. He slow blinks at me in the small percentage of time that I actually do see him, so I figure it's doing something haha

But damn, that bit about the hand signals after the 5 minutes is over is just brilliant!

  • According to Elon Musk’s own math, the company formerly known as Twitter has lost 90% of its value and could be worth just $4 billion
  • Don't forget about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (via MBS) large investment, putting them as the biggest shareholder of the company behind Muskrat himself.

Here's an interesting Birdsite thread on how the KSA has been intertwined with Twitter since as early as 2011 - and no, not just as an "investor". There's been all sorts of the shadiest shit going on over there.

  • DeAngelo placed on waivers ahead of buyout
  • 🙌 Sick, dude! So glad I could help. It'll take some time, but we can rebuild it! haha

  • DeAngelo placed on waivers ahead of buyout
  • On the whole, the Canes finished up that campaign in the 2nd round of the postseason with a 4 games to 3 series loss to the Rangers.

If you look at his numbers, they definitely weren't bad. 10G/41A/51P in 64 games. 13 points shy of a point per game for the Canes, after being bought out by the Rangers just 5 days before he signed with the Canes. But then that summer the Canes sent him packin' to Philly for a 2024 2nd, 2023 3rd, & 2022 4th.

So, while researching this, it seems that I wasn't going crazy, and there in fact was a trade in place for the Flyers to send him back to the Canes in this year's free agency. The trade was DeAngelo for a prospect - with Philly retaining 50% of his salary. However, the NHL held up the trade due to CBA clause 50.5, which states:

under no circumstances may a Club reacquire, as part of a Retained Salary Transaction, the contract of a player who was on that Club's Reserve List within the past calendar year.

As the article states, if the Flyers didn't retain any part of his salary, the trade would have gone through.

Defenseman Tony DeAngelo's tenure in Philadelphia is coming to a close after just one season.

DeAngelo placed on waivers ahead of buyout

He's now the only NHL player to have had his contract bought out by 2 different teams.

According to Elliotte Friedman: >Some clarity here: Philadelphia put Tony DeAngelo on waivers to buy out his contract. It is not a termination. So, assuming he clears tomorrow, DeAngelo will be a free agent.
