  • They stopped showing on memmy a couple of days ago, however my other account @ lemmy.ml works fine.

Search also seems to be broken.

Maybe some api change between version 0.18.1 and the one running on this instance?

update: I can confirm they're showing again on memmy.

  • I don't understand.
  • Log in to an instance. Search for specific communities using the following format:

    communityname@instanceurl

    Subscribe.

Alternatively, you can use the "all" filter to see content from all instances that federate with yours.

    example

Update: the format I described above is optional. Just search by community name and you'll find it.

  • Does it matter which Lemmy I'm in?
  • If you're using the web-ui, you can change the scope of your searches to include external results as well. You can subscribe to any community without leaving your home instance.

  • How do I go about debugging a kernel panic?

Journalctl isn't showing anything suspicious, and with the 6.4 kernel update I'm getting the occasional blinking caps-lock.

So far I'm not able to reproduce the panic, it only happens occasionally at the GDM login prompt.

    What's your "old person" trait?
  • Thanks!

I've been a happy Linux user since 99 and Mandrake was my first distro 👌

Still, the only piece of (subscription-based) software that's keeping me from deleting the windows partition: Premiere pro 🤡
