Sounds like a dealbreaker
  • I‘m not from the US (Germany) and neither have I much experience with lactose free products. I know someone who is allergic to lactose though and when I was buying stuff for him he told me the exact brand of stuff I needed to get due to the issue I mentioned.

  • Sounds like a dealbreaker
  • One interesting thing about lactose free products is, that most aren’t lactose free. They only contain the enzymes to digest the lactose. If you are lactose intolerant this is perfectly fine, but if you’re allergic to lactose it doesn’t change anything for you

  • Most useless superhero accessory
  • Well, in the tv series his shoes start burning if he doesn’t use his specific flash shoes. So surely he needs a special bike.

About handling you might be right, but I can’t image running at speeds faster than sound without crashing into everything either

  • Most useless superhero accessory
  • That would be a great idea. I mean, I am more than twice as fast on a bike than by foot and I can drive more than 10 times as far. Just imagine what Flash could accomplish with a bike

  • Fairbuds are Fairphone’s proof that we really could make better tiny gadgets
  • I totally get it, why buy one expensive thing once, when you can buy cheap stuff that will cost more in the long run? 5 times 30 surely is cheaper than 1 times 150.

From my experience, there is just stuff where you don’t want to cheap out on. Don’t get me wrong, there is no need to buy „premium“ stuff when good stuff is about the same quality but cheaper, but buying cheap stuff, just because it is a little less than the good stuff usually never pays off for me

  • Bavaria mulls cannabis-free Oktoberfest beer party - BBC News
  • The motivation is to stoke fears in people that are against cannabis. For the conservatives like CDU and CSU party every change is bad. They even promised to illegalize weed once they are ruling again

  • Deja Brew
  • It is because you might create superheated water, which is not boiling while being above the boiling point. Since it can start boiling at any time, it can be a little dangerous to handle superheated water.

  • Deja Brew
  • I am not sure about coffee, but heating water in a microwave may result in superheated water, which is above the boiling point without boiling. This can be quite dangerous, as it might start boiling at any time. In chemistry you usually put a boiling chip in the water when heating it in a test glass to avoid this.
