Trump Demands Biden Remove Ad of Him Insulting Dead Troops
  • Yeah and I wish we could remove Trump from this world. Not happening either. Fuck humanity, we all deserve what we'll get.

  • I guess then we have to agree to disagree.

  • It's all FOSS. Whoever gets doubts about the devs can check the source or have it checked by experts. They sell out or die? Switch to other frontends or forks. I'd never trust any dev blindly, but if I can choose between these ones and Google... well.

  • Switched to piped/invidious. There are even a few good apps like Libretube or Freetube. No need to waste time with scripts and stuff.

  • Hackers can read private AI-assistant chats even though they’re encrypted
  • Good thing I'm running my LLMs locally on a heavily encrypted PC with no network capabilities at all. Only way to not have my data siphoned, be it by hackers or big tech.

  • I guess Spongebob is with Puss, Adri and Chris now. Damn rat.

  • Netflix is going to take away its cheapest ad-free plan
  • Most of their stuff isn't even worth pirating. Just sink that ship and find better loot elsewhere.

  • Star Trek: Enterprise x Deep Rock Galactic
  • Reacher + M&B Bannerlord... Sounds like fun.

  • True. Facts won't change their views, no matter how much research went into it.

And even if they somehow end up being in the same spot as the "test subjects", it's other people's fault - preferably easily identifiable targets like minorities. Zero empathy, massive ego.

  • Do you think lemmy would be as popular as reddit?

  • They AI Question
  • I think AIs are one of the most privacy invading things right after social media platforms.

  • That's why I placed my alarm on the other side of the room. This way I have to get my lazy ass out of the bed to turn it off. And then I'm awake anyway.

  • They AI Question
  • Most people don't. Convenience is more important than privacy for most people, can't blame you.

I'm just a paranoid tech geek. So this is usually the first and strongest concern for me.

  • They AI Question
  • Don't forget about the privacy and copyright concerns. Scraping the internet for training data, copyrighted or not, and also logging every input for this purpose (and probably others).

    What happened to vlemmy.net?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I couldn't find anything about this anywhere.

Is vlemmy.net down or is it just a problem on my end? Can't reach their website since yesterday and via jerboa its the same.
