is cyberpunk 2077 good now?
  • It always had been good. It’s even better now

  • There Is No iPhone 15 Mini: Here's Why
  • If they brought a mini pro version it would be a no brainer. I need telephoto and promotion and the island in a small package.

  • My life lately
  • It’s a welcome change to all the other games, where the beginning is polished and well done, but the end is rushed through development. I’m super glad chapter three is as content dense as the other chapters!

  • Baldur's Gate 3 is 'romance for games 101,' former Dragon Age writer says
  • Well, I had the opposite experience. I was having that fling with Lae’zel and could start the shadowheart romance no issues. And that was even before patch 1.

  • Celebrating 15 Years of DCS (Sale!)
  • Good choice!

  • Comment level indicator suggestion

avelon Suggestions on how to display hierarchy better/differently. The rainbow colors don’t match the accent color and they don’t really give a sense at what level you’re at. The gray lines from modern Reddit would be preferable, or I Bean where the accent colors just fade the higher you go up in level.

here is an example screenshot from Bean and a 3rd party Reddit client

For a quick win it would be great to have invisible lines instead of the colored ones.

Avelon for Lemmy is now on the App Store!
  • Great! Even better if you could add a “add to reading list” button

  • About Safari Extentions

  • Avelon for Lemmy is now on the App Store!
  • I’m pretty awestruck by the way you can swipe down to close websites in bean. Maybe you can implement something similar? It’s really intuitive and convenient.

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • If you did you wouldn’t write this embarrassing hate speech. First move out of your mom’s basement. Then go to evening school or how do you call it in Murica. Maybe learn a language or two. And learn the difference between vegan and vegetarian. Well, I won’t argue with dummies. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

  • higher wages for the servers... by the customers. Fnbs
  • Best to cook at home

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • A white American who doesn’t know how to read apparently. Typical 🤣. Hey, we all have our weaknesses. Some more than others.

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • I’m not fighting Pakis over the internet.

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • Veg rage 🤣. I assume you're Indian. Please do yourself and a world a favor and get familiar with history, nutrition, common sense and a bit of etiquette.

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • Vegetarian, not vegan. Essential difference. True Indians, that’s native Americans, were dieting mainly on meat in their prime by the way. Until the white men came and took all they had away from them, including their land and bisons.

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • Exclusively. Be my guest and just gorge yourself on plants only. Don’t run to a doctor if you get any issues.

  • Dude, you can’t eat grass and expect to get B12.

  • Memmy is the best iOS app so far
  • I just mentioned the tabs disappearing is better solved than in Apollo, didn’t say that was mandatory as per guidelines.

As for the frosted glass effect it is UI as well as UX, as UI contributes to the UX. If you personally don’t like it, that’s your thing. It’s especially nice to have the content scroll under the bars, it makes the static boring monotone footers and headers come to life and gives you the illusion of a bigger screen. Take the latest Netflix design on iOS for example. The header is huge, but the video poster moves so nicely under them. All the Apple iOS apps have this effect. And a lot of Apple users care

  • Heatblur’s F-4 incoming

Heatblur on FB: "We're warming up your seat! The last miles are always the hardest, and the team is presently working night and day to get DCS: F-4E ready for launch. The Phantom has now been in development for just over two years, and we've been working incredibly hard to build not only the ultimate recreation of the Phantom, but a sustainable platform for Heatblur moving forward, starting with the launch of the F-4. Every rivet, screw, breaker, lamp, and otherwise will be accurately recreated in what we hope will be the ultimate simulation of the legendary Phantom. Our current focus is still on wrapping up some of the most complex and intricate systems coming to DCS: F-4E, such as Jester 2.0. Not only do we have to make sure that new features developed are great, polished and fun on day one; but since we'll be re-using a lot of our new technology in both past and future aircraft, we're treading thoughtfully. We've always tried to look for new ways to further DCS and our own products, and the Phantom will be no different. Elements like better in game learning or RPG-lite mechanics in JESTER are just some examples of where we've gone this time around. Our key priority however is ensuring that you have a great experience on launch day, with a rich and as close to feature complete experience as we can provide, and we'll be sparing no effort to get to the quality you all expect. We can't wait for you to fly the F-4. Stay tuned for more news, including F-4E, but also MSFS F-14 as well as updates to DCS: F-14, Viggen and other Heatblur elements shipping this year. We're somewhat quiet at the moment as we have our heads down and are working hard, but we hope to share much more soon. Thank you for all of the support, we couldn't do this without you all!"

iPhone 14 Pro users complain of major drops in battery health and capacity after less than a year
  • I’m at the exact same percentage. Spent a month in a hot area, jumped to iOS 17 developer beta from the start. But not a heavy user, I charge from 40-80%

  • What's some really unpopular opinion you have?
  • Being vegan neither means no life will die nor the environment will be spared. On the contrary.

All life on the fields including small mammals, animals like hares, mice and such and all insects in a normal multi culture will be killed and replaced by monocultures that are not good for the soil and do not exist naturally. You can’t call yourself vegan while pretending to save lifes. You’re just trying to spare lives that you care about. Probably cows and pigs. No animals lives forever. We need to make sure these animals live a good life before they are consumed.

We’re not meant to eat plants. No doctor will tell you you can live well on a vegan diet without any supplements.
