What is something that 2020s kids will never get to experience?
  • We might be dealing with lead in some places, but it's still an ongoing issue. This year alone, there have been issues with applesauce, cinnamon, and other food products being contaminated with lead. Towns in the US, like Flint Michigan, still have endless problems related to it.

It's a long road before it'll be dealt with, so 2020 kids are definitely going to experience lead poisoning.

I'm ready [f]or you to come do something about this empty feeling[OC]
  • It seems good now - as far as I could tell, I don't think the post was originally flagged as NSFW (but maybe it was in fact an issue with federating?). I now see the NSFW tag on the post.

  • The Web Is Fucked
  • Replacing HTML and JavaScript does nothing to stop people from creating bad websites. People would still post auto-generated content or ads, filler content, related articles, etc... And having LLMs summarize bad content will only give you a shortened version of bad content.

  • The idea that dogs shouldn't have "human food" doesn't make sense.
  • Saying "food that is healthy for you is healthy for your dog" is absolutely not true, there are plenty of fruits & vegetables that are great for people, but terrible for dogs. For example, this article lists 19 fruits & veggies that are harmful for dogs - https://iheartdogs.com/10-veggies-fruits-that-are-harmful-to-dogs/
