Deaths could fuel calls for ceasefire and heighten Israeli public anger over military exemptions for ultra-Orthodox

Eight Israeli soldiers killed in southern Gaza, military says

Eight Israeli soldiers have been killed in a blast that engulfed their armoured vehicle in southern Gaza, in the biggest loss of life for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in a single incident since January.

The deaths came amid continuing fighting around Rafah in which at least 19 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes.

According to the IDF, the squad of combat engineers were in a convoy of half a dozen armoured vehicles returning from a mission at about 5am on Saturday morning in the Tal al-Sultan area of the southern Gaza city when their vehicle was destroyed.

According to reports in the Israeli media, the IDF was investigating whether the vehicle exploded after being targeted or following the accidental detonation of explosives which the soldiers had been transporting in their vehicle.

The explosives had been stored on the vehicle’s exterior, a tactic reportedly used to avoid harm to the occupants in the event of detonation. The blast occurred after several other vehicles had already passed the same location, and killed all those inside immediately.

Nevada Democrats sue to block Green Party from 2024 ballot
  • https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2024/06/12/jxvj-j12.html

Call noted that the Democrats are suing the Nevada secretary of state, Democrat Francisco Aguilar, because his office provided “an incomplete file of our petitions,” which Call surmised would “be resolved simply by the Secretary of State providing them the complete file.”

Call clarified that the Green Party did not submit the required paperwork late. Instead, he wrote, “the Nevada Secretary of State processed it late and we have an affidavit to that effect.”

The Democratic Party campaign has mobilized vast resources, with millions of dollars and an army of lawyers deployed to block third-party challengers. Call said, “They are trying to bleed us out. A tactic of empire. I used the Wal-Mart analogy due to Wal-Mart’s strategy of putting its competitor out of business through overwhelming resources.”

Responding to the anti-democratic actions of the Democratic Party, Socialist Equality Party candidate for US president Joseph Kishore denounced “the efforts of the Democratic Party to keep Jill Stein off the ballot in Nevada. The SEP supports the right of all third-party candidates to get on the ballot.”

Kishore wrote that the Democrats’ efforts “to block candidates from obtaining ballot status is an attack on the most basic democratic right, the right to vote. The two parties of the capitalist ruling elite want to prevent workers and youth from having the ability to vote for anyone besides Biden and Trump.”

Israel vows to press on in Gaza after UN Security Council approves ceasefire proposal
  • One major difference is that we have made peace with the native Americans. And they have their own reserves.

Israel could sign a two state solution with the Palestinians at this very moment. That would be the moment Palestinians would heavily lose the right to destroy the other.

But Israel in its infinite wisdom is determined to never sign a peace deal and let Palestinians have their own land as long as they are militarily superior.

And when a time comes the Palestinians are militarily superior they sure as hell won't be stupid enough to give a bunch of filthy colonists a part of their land anymore.

That said, native Americans are definitely owed far more compensation than they have received.

  • "we" the "people"
  • You can take action and pick the path that kills nobody. But too many are fearmongered into kill 10 or kill 9.

The 9 or 10 voters are responsible for the killing. They actively vote against kill 0.

  • "we" the "people"
  • RCV is the next carrot to keep idiots voting Democrat. The Bernie plan got exposed and Biden is not much lesser evil than Trump anymore. We have to give them a reason to be stupid enough to keep voting blue.

When RCV almost takes hold they will both sides a bullshit authoritarian move out of their ass and ban it.

  • Should I permanently leave Israel?
  • Maybe ask the Canadian natives how well the peace talks went. Europe is where the colonists started not sure what you mean by it.

After the revolution many ANC members got bribed into being stakeholders leaving white people still in power. The ANC's corruption however is now degrading and they are losing votes in the election.

After dismantling the colonist empire a country doesn't magically become utopia. It will take many years for it to build up. But while being colonized it can never start that process.

  • US report on Israel’s wartime conduct in Gaza delayed, aides say

The Biden administration’s report on whether Israel has violated U.S. and international humanitarian law during the war in Gaza has been delayed and will no longer be released Wednesday as planned, three Senate aides and a House aide told POLITICO.

The State Department has been working for months on the report, which will issue a determination on whether Israel has violated international humanitarian law since the war in Gaza began. If so, the U.S. would be expected to stop sending Israel military assistance.

IDF Brig.-Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi met with the holder of the Israeli-Palestinian portfolio at the US State Department, who accused Israel of "systematically" sexually abusing Palestinian woman, the general explained in an interview on 103FM.

Is it the official US position that IDF soldiers rape Palestinian women?

"When we meet with a State Department official holding the Israeli-Palestinian portfolio, every word she utters, as far as I'm concerned, is an official US position. Ultimately, she is a government official. When she says, for example, 'You did not provide evidence that Hamas is stealing humanitarian aid and you are starving the population,' what is she talking about? The IDF spokesperson shows [proof] every other day that Hamas is stealing food.
