Have you tried Silverblue? If Bluefin's Gnome customisation isn't for you I expect Silverblue would be much closer to Workstation
Hey all,
I have given up hope of hosting my own mail server but was hoping for one that would serve as an archive -
- downloads new emails via IMAP from my mail provider on a regular basis
- allows my mail clients to connect via IMAP to view and search emails
Any suggestions for a docker solution for this?
Thanks

Yes. No digging was done from the kerb to the house
I had zero problems. The guy turned up early and was done in a couple of hours. Service has been rock solid since.
Do NBN sub-contract? Sounds like you got a dodgy subbie
Running bluefin here and loving it although I am forced back to x11 for work
Perth?
True story - I moved from Scotland to Perth when I was 6. A few months later I visited Tranby House, one of the oldest buildings in Perth at around 1830. I remember thinking to myself that our house in Scotland before we moved was older than that (circa 1800)
Just after their most famous customer was recalled as well...
Why???
I look forward to riding one on the Midland line in 2044
I prefer Lemmy over Mastodon for the same reason I preferred Reddit (pre-APIpocalypse) over Twitter (pre-Musk) - the ability to subscribe to specific communities with similar interests. Try as I might in Mastodon with selective subscriptions to certain posters I still find myself scrolling through stuff I have no interest in hoping for a nugget of interest.
Can this be docked for desktop use with multiple monitors?
When VMWare Horizon Client (which I need for work) supports it
You guys REALLY need preferential (aka ranked choice) voting
Is this a propaganda journal?
I was playing with Silverblue but had to switch out because it didn't have DisplayLink drivers or a flatpak for VMWare Horizon which meant I couldn't connect to work

Electric Mountain bike - i am over 50 and had not rode regularly since my teens. I borrowed a MTB from a friend last year and struggled to make any progress until I picked up a secondhand e-MTB. Since then I have been averaging around 150km/week and my stamina has notably improved.

PC - been a PC guy since 1989 and could not picture life without one. I'm an inveterate tinkerer and have built and rebuilt dozens over the years. I currently have a gaming desktop dual-booting Ubuntu and Win11 and a laptop running Ubuntu plus a couple of servers.

iPad - for years I was an Android guy but a couple years back I traded a spare laptop to my niece for her iPad (she wanted to learn coding) and was blown away by the user experience. Since then I have gone all in with iPhone, apple watch, and an old Macbook Air.
Warcraft 2. With the HD widescreen patch (why was this not included in the re-release???) it has aged surprisingly well. Some of the levels are brutally hard though.

Hi all,
I have had several shots at self hosting email over the years and my last attempt failed due to my home IP being in a dynamic pool. I thought I might try again, this time with a basic web hosting provider that I could set up email on. Any suggestions for a free/cheap provider with decent uptime?
Thanks
Hi all,
I have Pi.Alert (along with Pi.hole) running on a RPi4. I recently moved my Dokuwiki instance (running in Docker) onto the same device and now Pi.Alert is complaining about lots of new devices. If I look at the IP addresses I can see they correspond to the network interfaces created by Docker. Is there any way to exclude these networks from Pi.Alert?
Thanks
Hi all,
Has anyone got cryptpad (docker installation) running behind Nginx Proxy Manager? The cryptpad docs provide a sample nginx config but I am struggling to adapt that to the Nginx Proxy Manager structure.
Thanks
Has anyone ever been successful in contacting Rockstar Games support? If so how?
I am trying to change my email address and their POS website isn't sending confirmation emails.
If I go to https://support.rockstargames.com/ it tells me to go to https://www.rockstargames.com/contact which tells me to go to https://support.rockstargames.com/!
You can see their first matches free back to back starting at the 51 minute mark of the above link.
Hi all,
Loving wefwef and am even using it as my desktop Lemmy UI but there is one niggle.
I often want to select and copy text in a comment (usually to search for it) but this doesn't work. Single clicking hides the comment while click and drag engages the upvote/downvote etc options.
Could we get an option to allow text selection (eg. ctrl-click)?
Thanks,
giddy
