Built this Bridgestone MB-3 for my brother
  • Thanks! Took me some time. Except from the frame, which my brother got from eBay, I sourced all parts from the german equivalent of Craigs List and our local recycling facility. They run a side business by disassembling thrown away bikes and selling the parts/building new bikes from it. It’s one of my favorite places to spend time. Parts are not cleaned or anything, but thrown into boxes. Chances are high finding really cool stuff in there for a small buck.

I bought a 10l ultrasonic cleaner once in a while. I usually disassemble every component up to the bearing balls, clean it in the ultrasound bath and rebuild it. This includes rebuilding the wheels and everything. Due to this I have quite a large collection of parts to choose from. Only rule is, if I have a part available I will use it on the bike I am currently building and not look for something better.
