  • But 'we' also have an endless capacity of trying to help others and especially the Ukrainians who now have a job are being very appreciated as well. Not saying there is no hate, but the Americans who'd cross the pond are most likely the more wealthy and better educated than average. They might get some hate but they will probably be much more easily accepted as islamic and African immigrants.

  • Not sure if op edited the original question before or after your comment, but I say the question is definitely is about 'buying' European despite also being about not buying American. As of now this is what op asks: "I want to switch from those American for profit news outlets to Euro or non-profit news outlets, what are my options?"

  • I'm not from the UK and read them, they have an 'international edition' (although online and in the app it's just a filter I suppose). Skip most stuff about uk, but still.

They also have a two or three weekend magazines which are not free but it's not hard to find the pdf online.

  • According to organizers of Sunday’s rally, some 5,000 to 8,000 people were expected to attend the event, soberly titled “Save Democracy,” ...

During his speech, National Rally President Jordan Bardella claimed 10,000 people were present. Yet the Place Vauban, ... was sparsely filled, and the true attendance figure was likely much lower. ...

But for Laurent Jacobelli, a party spokesperson and parliamentarian, the event’s organization was spurred by “a very strong demand from people to voice their doubts about the judgment” in the Le Pen case.

O the very strong demand /s

  • No that is definitely true, in relative numbers these protests are pretty big. But in absolute numbers it's not like protests these days in Spain for better housing or the ones in Serbia for less corruption is all i'm saying.

  • This article is about the protesters in Europe, I think that's what the numbers you mention refer to. I checked the article, it says the following:

A "Hands Off!" spokesperson told Newsweek that the coalition anticipates upwards of 1 million people to partake in events across the world.

  • Well 'massive'...

"Thousands of demonstrators are taking part in global "Hands Off!" protests ..., with hundreds rallying in "about a dozen" cities across Europe, a spokesperson for the mobilizing coalition told Newsweek on Saturday."

I mean good for them but I've seen protests much bigger than a few thousand people spread over a dozen cities.
