Aoc doesn't really build off dsa anymore to be fair. Dsa can't even run it's own budget right. They provided a little extra volunteer power for bernie campaign got a huge influx of people and have been in decline since he dropped out of running for Prez. Dsa is a dead end.
Greens are a waste of time though yes.
Aoc can't run for president yet.
Optics matter.
Y'all are why people hate the fediverse.
This is a case where it seems the elite consensus drove a change in culture whereas the gay marriage thing seems to have only happened once it became a norm across society.
This argument is pointless. Neither of you is right. Arguing for or against optics is pointless.

I don't think you can use gpl for anything but code. Creative commons license would be more appropriate.
Consent isn't legally required if it's fair use. Whether it's fair use remains to be ruled on by the courts.
And it seems to be broken again this morning.
The thing is I use reddit mostly for fun stuff. I took out a lot of the political stuff that was getting me down. There's not nearly as many niche cute cat subs or active hobbyist game subs on lemmy.
I've been on lemmy like 2 years. I like it but I wouldn't say I've gotten used to it.
I like lemmy but reddit is still difficult to replace due to lack of content and active communities. But I ain't using the official app so I guess here we are.
This isn't quite true. Physical medicine also has many diseases that are just grouped together symptoms with unknown etiology. They are referred to as syndromes: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syndrome
"advanced users" on forums are rarely very representive of users as a whole.
Do you believe that there can be no such thing as good or bad branding? Do you think that design work has no value?
There is def stuff that could be better though.

Wall Street, labor, customers, and regulators all hate Boeing's management. Meanwhile a strike looms as Boeing's contract with the Machinist union is up. The government is finally stepping in.
The anti-monopoly movement has hit Canada, where a political economy revolution has changed the nation's antitrust laws from among the weakest in the world. As goes Canada, so goes the world?
For the first time, the Antitrust Division stopped an airline merger, despite wailing from executives about industry woes. That's a historic win. It's also the end of the beginning for our movement.
Some of Google’s most important services are changing.
If America wants to make civilian airplanes here, the government must step in, take over Boeing, and then design a competitive industry.
The United States Supreme Court today declined to hear separate requests from both Apple and Epic Games in their long-standing lawsuit against each...
Google will finally feel the pain, the government will file a whole slew of antitrust cases, and monopolies will be a campaign issue. Plus a look-back at the key moments of 2023.
The FTC won a huge merger case yesterday to cap off the year. Plus, major decisions on crypto and private equity.
Antitrust curbs to require tech giants to allow third-party app platforms and billing
Following Illumina's loss, Adobe throws in the towel in its merger attempt with Figma. Meanwhile CNBC's Jim Cramer chides the antitrust defense bar and agencies release merger guidelines.
I know there is mobilzon but mobilzon is a meetup.com clone whereas evite is different.
Evite you can create an event and invite people via email or send them a link. They can rsvp and add it to their calendars.
Come of these features are covered by mobilzon but not quite. Evite doesn't require you make a group or add people to the group as members. It's a little more atomic. Honestly I think it's a good deal more flexible than the meetup/mobilzon design pattern.

> Well, I’ll be damned. They finally won one it sounds like.
Search giant Google has lost its first antitrust case in a San Francisco jury trial. The breakup of Big Tech begins.
The long tail of greedflation may be subsiding, just as a federal jury cracks the longstanding egg cartel. Plus antitrust action on airlines and the turkey industry are likely delivering lower prices.
Newell has previously asked for a remote deposition.
Rep. Joaquin Castro calls on the FTC to review Warner Bros. Discovery for axing completed films like "Coyote vs. Acme."
The torpedoes from the Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission are exploding, and Wall Street is very angry. Here's what they are planning if they win in 2024.
