GTA | Sept 24, 2023 | starting at 2 pm EST | Rogers Internet is down or crippled to under 3 mb/s. Not picked up by CBC, Citytv or CTV (to the best of my knowledge)
As of Sept 27 @ 5:45 pm the internet is holding steady in Brampton and York Region. No longer disconnecting every 30 seconds. Lets see how long this lasts.
Posts from Downdetector earlier today:
As of Sept 27 @ 8am Rogers in various areas DNS requests (so when you type in a website address) are timing out. So I can't stay connected at work or stay connected to Office 365, or even stay on instant messanger. Its affecting many people across Ontario.
As of 9/26/2023 @ 4 pm EST full internet speeds have been restored in Mississauga and Richmond Hill. No word from Rpn the whole incident taking over 24 hours to be addressed.
Earlier this month it was reported by CBC that a company named Xona will be paid 230K by the CRTC to produce a report on the July 2022 outage.

After watching a video and looking around it looks like I was in error. Pretty much I can be signed into lemmy.ca ... then change he view filter to show all communities and subscribe to technology community on ML. The subscribe button does not always update right away. But in my listing of lemmy.ca I see I am subscribed. Hope this helps someone else.
