  • Not sure how you’ve replied to a deleted comment but yeah, I figured it out in the meantime, hence I deleted it. Thanks though!

Regarding the latter - Germany and France are (hopefully) not that stupid, but for instance Poland which spends the biggest share of its GDP on military, already buys foreign stuff instead of investing into domestic production, so I am afraid the rest could go with it. Many of our leaders are just plain stupid (I hope, or worse case: corrupt)

  • This is the most terrible trade “deal” I’ve ever seen signed.

    What US gets:

    • keeps 15% duties on EU exports with a guarantee that EU won’t retaliate
    • EU buys absurd amount of energy from the US
    • EU promises big investments in the US
    • EU buys even more military equipment from the US

    What EU gets:

    • nothing

  • Well if Europe doesn’t do this, US or China will regardless and they won’t care about leaving junk in the space. So it’s a matter of who will profit off that. And also, the EU is doing a lot for the environment already. Maybe it’s time for other countries like India to stop throwing trash directly into rivers now? We live on the same planet. Even if EU achieves the zero-emission state, it only accounts for 5% of the population in the world, so it won’t change that much on a global scale if other countries continue refusing to cooperate

  • Invading a nuclear power doesn’t sound like a smart idea. They should’ve been prevented from acquiring nukes at the first place, just like other crazy countries, most notably Pakistan and India. Now it’s too late, I am afraid
