What kind of wearable device do you want? Assuming it will work and feel like you imagine it would
  • Same! After mine broke I bounced between Samsung and Garmin before landing in a feñix 6 pro sapphire. Battery life is amazing. Watch faces are configurable and Garmin has an application that allows you to build your own faces if you have the time/inclination. And it's damn near indestructible. Going on 3 years daily wear and it still looks like it could be new. Check out the black Friday deals.

  • Stringing = too cold?
  • I can't add anything concerning stringing that the other comment didn't already cover, so I'll ask about the gaps.

Have you tried upping the flow rate to fill them in? The other option I've used in the past was lowering my Z Offset if the flow was alright.

Keep in mind that changing your flow rate will likely also cause you have to mess with your retraction settings again.

  • Keycaps
  • I don't have an offering for the XDA profile that you're looking for, but a potential alternative. Consider the KAM profile as well.

I used the XDA canvas set on a number of boards for about 5 years and recently switched to the KAM Superuser set on my Dactyl Manuform. The dishes on the top of the keys are very slightly smaller but the height and general profile are very, very similar.

Thekeeblog has a nifty comparison chart that puts XDA and KAM side by side.

  • Did something today I had been putting off for 6 months
  • I mentioned the difference in battery usage and heat when charging. The date of purchase and model may make a difference though. Bought mine at the end of 2021. This is a good article to get some info going into it. I did the online chat with Sony. Good luck!

  • Did something today I had been putting off for 6 months
  • That was one of my fears as well. Thankfully, the issue is so wide spread that they are replacing them outright even after the warranty has elapsed. Sony WF-1000XM4 has an issue where one of the buds drains 5 times faster than the left. Started with firmware 1.4 or 1.4.2.

  • Did something today I had been putting off for 6 months

Opened a warranty request for a pair of wireless earbuds that started acting up. Despite having seen reports from other users with the same issue successfully getting replacements I just couldn't do it. Today I finally did the thing.

  • Can't beat a model M. First time used one was at work. GE used to deploy a variant of the Model M with their Cariolab and Maclab workstations. Had its own custom key cap set specifically for their application functions. So satisfying to type on.

  • Met with a psychiatrist for ADHD diagnosis
  • So my process was a bit out of order, but yes I was billed for a consultation as well as the assessment. I think after insurance my scenario was similar to yours. The Psychiatrist who I saw prior to my assessment (PCP referred me one step too far) suggested the online route as it would take 3 to 6 months to be assessed through conventional channels. I was also told it could cost as much as $3000 to $4000 for the assessment alone.

I figured that I didn't have much to lose. With the Psychiatrist themselves telling me that the diagnosis given through the online service was an actionable diagnosis, then why not give it a try. Seems that the site employs a team or teams of credentialed and certified psychiatrists to report on the questionnaires.

Seems that the change in accepting a diagnosis from ADHDonline.com is a new thing as of this year or last.

  • Met with a psychiatrist for ADHD diagnosis
  • Have you considered the adhdonline.com route? I was pointed that direction to get a on assessment as it was faster and less expensive. Assessments could have taken 3+ months and cost several thousand dollars. The online assessment cost $180 and I completed it in a few hours on a Friday afternoon. I had a diagnosis of ADHD (other) by midday the following Tuesday. I started on medication that Thursday.

  • Procras-ductivity: What are you working on today instead of what you're supposed to be doing?
  • I get bored of OSes after a while and end up trying a flavor of Linux every now and then. Fedora is what I was messing with most recently and I remembered it being fairly stable and well supported seeing at it is the public version of Red Hat.

  • Procras-ductivity: What are you working on today instead of what you're supposed to be doing?
  • Attempting to configure a Fedora torrenting computer. The goal was to have always on VPN, allow remote access from a windows computer without logging out the user account when the remote session closed, and to also store the files on a windows based server I am using for Plex....

  • Feature Request

Two things came to mind while adding accounts and getting a feel for the app (which is great so far btw).

    • I noticed that the Show/Blur NSFW setting is an app setting rather than an account setting. Can this be applied to an account instead?
    • Can a Left handed mode be created? Example would be to move the voting, menu and other buttons to the left side of the screen.

Also reporting a potential bug: While drafting a post, if the screen changes orientation, the contents of the post is wiped out.

3D printers are down. Needed more tenting out of my Dactyl. Solution: Plastic M3 standoff kit.

May not be pretty, but it's working really well. Bottom to top: plastic screw, nut to tension it against the plate, standoff into the brass heatset inserts.
