  • Of course they can, I never said they couldn’t. I just personally prefer YouTube’s app UI and UX over the website on mobile.

  • You could check out uYouPlus then, it doesn’t require jailbreaking or anything but instead works through “sideloading”. I’ve used it for years and it’s honestlygreat:

  • Does anyone have any links for reverse engineering Spotify DRM? I didn't necessarily need it for myself, have plenty of music, and it would be a pretty inefficient means of piracy vs. BitTorrent or li
  • There was actually a project on github that claimed to allow downloading of Spotify straight from the source with drm bypassing called XSpotify but it was taken down by spotify before i got to try it: https://github.com/meik97/XSpotify

However it was archived on the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20200303145624/https://github.com/meik97/XSpotify

A repost detection bot based on Reddit's RepostSleuthBot (See comments for example)

I created a bot made with Python and Pythörhead that can detect reposted images, even across multiple different Lemmy instances. It's heavily based on the RepostSleuthBot from Reddit.

I know that there might not be a need for such a bot on Lemmy right now but it was a fun project nonetheless.
