OP here — my aim with this post was to help others understand what’s behind “the algorithm” and help others create their own customizations.

I definitely did not mean to do anything that will regress us towards the vibe of billionaire-controlled platforms. If you think there’s a better way to phrase things that highlights transparency and getting away from the black boxes that run most mainstream platforms, very open to feedback!!
