I respect that you still try to assume good intentions and you're right that it will probably get you further than assuming the worst about people. I might have been talking about a different point than you, but my view on that is still the same. I just do not think the guy in question had other intentions than to pick up a girl and I do not agree with his conclusion at the end. And yes you're right, that if the guys were a bit more elaborate on why dude was in the wrong they could've helped the dude. And besides he didn't say anything about the reaction of the women in question, so we don't know what she said, how she felt, and how hostile she and the guys were and why. Sorry but the guy gave zero info on how polite he was to the girl and how interested he was in having an actual conversation. Probably in reality he was being invasive af and the guys in question reacted appropriately by defending the girl. As a woman myself yes I am just there to enjoy my time with my friends, not to be sexually objectified by men who feel so entitled that they think spending 30 dollars on a beer and walking up to me should be a guaranteed relationship.
