China has grown more new forest cover than any nation on Earth
  • I'm sorry that you expect each unknowing consumer to have the intellectual capacity to understand the geopolitical consequences of each product they by based on the environmental damage and human rights violations during its production.

It's almost like you're the fool for expecting such a flawed system to work. Saying, "well, you paid me to do it!" does not absolve you of guilt.

  • "It's not our fault, we just produce cheap goods, the pollution is the fault of the people buying the goods"

If your products are cheap because you're polluting, you are the problem. If you weren't polluting, your products wouldn't be as cheap. If your products weren't as cheap, they wouldn't be competitive on the capitalist market. If they weren't competitive, they wouldn't be bought.

  • Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó (中華人民共和國) is the actual name of the country, why did you refer to it as China? "China" likely comes from poor translations of the Qin Dynasty.

It's been the CCP for years. Even in 2016, it was the CCP in the CCP's own official translation of Xi Jinping's speech. CCP can't just rebrand because it got bad press and expect non-propagandized nations to go along with it.

  • Ohio Republicans Refuse To Accept Election Results, Claim Abortion Bans Will Remain
  • Read the text of it.

    A. Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on: contraception; fertility treatment; continuing one’s own pregnancy; miscarriage care; and abortion.

Just wait until a pedophile argues in court that having sex with a child is his own reproductive decision and that the child is an individual who made the same decision.

  • I don't think Israel should continue its actions in Palestine. I call for an end to the apartheid. There.

However, saying "death to Israel" doesn't bring us any closer to peace.

  • Both involve the killing of innocent civilians based on their racioethnic group.

Different scale, motivation, morals, etc? Yes. Still, they give both context to saying "death to Israel" because they prove that the statement is being used in a violent way.

  • Okay so you are saying that:

    • "death" in this context is used in a violent way
    • "Israel" is referring to the "White Jewish ethnostate" (in your other comment)

Thus, "death to Israel" is calling for violence upon Jews. Antisemitic. Case closed.

  • Lmao, "Death to Israel" is not the same as "Black Lives Matter," unless you actually DO mean "White Lives Don't Matter"

And, once again, two wrongs don't make a right.

  • If "tone policing" is calling out "death to Israel" as antisemitic, then sure. Call me the Tone Police Chief. I'm not the one acting obtuse about what those words mean.

  • Google Messages RCS App Alternatives

Are there any (preferably FOSS) RCS/SMS/MMS apps as an alternative to Google Messages? I can't convince anyone to switch to signal and would like to at least use an app that I trust. Eventually I'll be moving to a privacy-respecting mobile OS so I'll need an SMS app to run without Google Play Services, but I don't want to totally miss out on RCS. Are there any alternatives? Is this even possible?
