Julia Louis-Dreyfus Calls ‘Bulls—‘ Over Complaints That ‘Comics Can’t Be Funny Now’ Due to P.C. Culture: It’s Not an ‘Impossible Time to Be Funny’
  • South Park has been making offensive crass comedy for a zillion years. Chapelle says whatever he wants about marginalized groups and still has an audience and plenty of cash. Where is the harm? I don't see standup comics making trans and gay people the butt of jokes as much anymore. Is this negative to you?

  • I don't want to form parasocial relationships with people I fap to
  • I think this is problematic because being deceptive is inherently wrong in most cases. But are these buyers getting what they paid for? Social interaction? If the model was doing the chatting, would that make it more moral? I think it's not so black and white

I wouldn't generalize this behavior to all OF models or pornstars either, not that you are. I think people who do porn are tacitly entering into a kind of parasocial relationship with the audience, and it's a two way street.

  • I don't want to form parasocial relationships with people I fap to
  • Despicable? I'm curious about where this line is, can you elaborate?

Also, what is your attitude on people who have sex with many partners (with informed consent etc). That could be polyamorous or simply dating & one night stands.

  • That Blue MAGA outreach...
  • Do you really wish to sue moderators of an internet forum? It seems outlandish for many reasons. No rights are infringed because this is a private entity, not the government, censoring (moderating)

Plus, the UN text you're quoting does not ostensibly protect internet comments from moderation either

Generally the concept of suing under UN law in the USA is comical because of our disdain for international law too

  • Every American President
  • The 13th amendment outlaws slavery... mostly

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction

  • A bit late
  • I am a man and I am affected 0% by this meme. This meme was a chance to display some empathy and understand why it might be that the bear analogy strikes a chord with many women.

When I go to the grocery store, do I have to think about being snatched? My privilege affords me the convenience of not worrying about that. Do I need to worry about being sexually assaulted walking home? Statistically, probably not. There are a whole host of problems and horrific fates that befall women disproportionately, and very often at the hands of men.

Why would a woman feel safer with a bear?

The 750,000 black bears of North America kill less than one person per year on the average, while men ages 18-24 are 167 times more likely to kill someone than a black bear.

Most attacks by black bears are defensive reactions to a person who is too close, which is an easy situation to avoid. Injuries from these defensive reactions are usually minor.

    https://bear.org/bear-facts/how-dangerous-are-black-bears

Since 1784 there have been 82 fatal human/bear conflicts by wild brown bears in North America. Yellowstone National Park has seen a mere 8 since being established in 1872, which is only one more than the number of people who have died from a falling tree.

Seems to me that even I would be safer with a bear than a man. Makes you think, doesn't it?
