Any plans for International Workers' Day?
  • I'm in the EU but same

  • Despite Chinese wages growing exponentially, China's share of global manufacturing also grew in the same period.
  • Neoliberalism was the natural evolution of the previous system so that it could keep satisfying the need of the ruling class.
Industrial capitalism was at it's end and we now that because the way a society is organized is decided by the social and economic condition of that society.
Labour was getting weaker and growth was stopping, so the system naturally changed to allow the bourgeoise to keep enriching itself as much as possible. I believe it's not good for Marxists to talk positively about past capitalist systems that lead us to our current situation, the road that history took was not random.

  • Oh yes, if you need some video ideas I'm not sure how popular this is outside of italians living abroad but I saw some people watching videos of how some Italian cities have "degraded".
I'm pretty sure this channel are pretty far right, like they go in places where a lot of poor people (mostly black) live and try to get them to say that the reason they aren't getting a job is because of drugs and being aggressive.
It really feels like they try to dehumanize them.
I don't remember the name of couple of YouTube channels that do this kind of video that I saw them watching but you can probably fine them on YouTube.

With the way they discuss social issues, I'm 99.9% sure they are a pipeline to fascism so a video showing that they are and telling people what the actual solution is could help.

  • Advices for an aspiring propagandist?
  • Hi fellow Italian communist.
I personally have started living abroad as the job market in Italy, as you know, is extremely bad (all of the people that replied to my resume wanted me to work for free for like 2-3 months which I think is unacceptable).
Were I work now I found a lot of Italians that also got out of Italy but they are full of lib brainworms. Also like almost none of them speak any English.
Sometimes we have discussions about the state of things and they agree with me on workplace democracy, the rich class being a huge issue but if you even name socialism (let alone communism), you can see them get horrified by the idea.

I tried to send them some videos for radical leftist YouTube channels but all the ones I know of are in English and as I said, most of them don't speak almost any English (how they survive abroad ? I have no idea).

If you end up making a channel that targets this type of people, tell me the name of the channel so maybe I can get some of the videos I think would work on them around.

  • Is there a political group that believes in achieving communism through socialism but is opposed to the state ?

(Sorry for any possible English mistake, I thought about this and wanted to read someone's idea on or against it but I can't find if there is a movement like it and what it would be called)

Like, we probably all agree that we are against capitalism but in order to achieve socialism (or directly communism) you must first develop the proletarian class as it is what is going to start the revolution.

So is there something like anarcho-communism, where they are opposed to having a socialist state as a way to develop communism, but that still believes in the importance of a socialist state in a utilitarian way to develop it's own group of revolutionaries ?

An idea according to which a socialist state will never achieve communism (for whatever reason, like the small difference between classes under socialism before it turns into communism that might become reactionaries and roll back change even under a dictatorship of the proletariat or something else) but there is going to be one more revolution starting from the (relative) bottom in the socialist state.

Because from my basic understanding of ML for example, the transition between socialism and communism is supposed to be smooth. But maybe I'm wrong ? Feel free to correct me on anything.

Is there a book or some content on how to debate as a far leftist ?

I'll be meeting lots of conservative family members and some of them love to get into debates. What I usually did in the past was just stay away from them as my ideas weren't fully formed yet and I didn't want to make my points look weak.

So is there like some guide on how to debate or a list of some of the most effective talking points that I should use ?

I made the mistake of looking at comments under a video talking about EU immigration

(It's going to be a bit of a vent post, sorry. Also we probably already discussed this)

How can people be so wrong about so many things all at once ?

The main talking point were that immigration costs too much, will "balkanize" western europe and bring higher crimes.

Do these people not understand that the reason for the higher crimes and for the "cultural" differences are entirely due to the fact that we are not integrating them once they arrive ? An illegal immigrant has two roads: Become a slave Do illegal things (like steal/sell drugs)

And a lot of these people have no way to become legal migrants who get some protection from the state. A person with no protection from the state is someone that can be freely exploited by companies and corporations. Because they can be freely exploited, they can become an enemy to the bigger working class as they create unfair competition in a competition based job economy that has no respect of any values. The real issue is than the system that allows for them to be exploited. If they were legal migrants, they would be able to get legal jobs, they would need to be payed roughly the same and would not be an issue for anyone anymore.

Why can't we just accept them in the country, teach them the language and how the country works to some degree, and then let them exist ? Like, they could get a job, produce for the economy, start a family etc. like everyone else.

I understand that the capitalist class needs to have a scapegoat for all the wrong things they do but, how could this many people fall for something like this ?

Also the governments are now proposing crazy plans like:

Deport every migrant to another country, process the request there and, if they get accepted, bring them back. If they don't get accepted, guess what ?, they still need Ti get them back to the country they applied in because it's like impossible to send them back. Why are we then shipping or flying them to a 3rd country just to wait there ? Shouldn't we get started on integration ? Give them a job so they don't cost anything while they wait ?

Also the number of immigrant is soooo small compared to the population, oh my god why do they talk about them so much ?

Also the people saying we need to help them in their own countries, 99% of the time seems to be the exact same people that are ok exploiting them, they just want to do it far away were they can't see them. So I guess the investment they would bring would not go to things beneficial to the societies of the immigrants but they probably just want to build like cheap manufacturing and prisons.

I guess we should just eat the rich and use that money to finance a better system to handle them that would also be beneficial to the working class (which, as we now but a lot of people don't understand, is most people).

I guess the main thing I would like to know from the community here is: have you guys have found some talking point that actually work on people with this backward opinions ? And also what's the general opinion on immigration on lemmygrad ?

  • Any good Chinese movie (with English sub) ?

I just realized I've never seen or heard of a Chinese movie. Not just filmed in China but also written and produced by a Chinese company. Is there any good one with English dub or sub ?
