Simple mail server
  • I wrote a blog some time ago why selfhosting email sucks

    https://nx2.site/email-selfhosting

If you just want the email server for only you and your friends, or for internal messages, selfhosting email can be fun, but your main email should probably not be selfhosted.

  • Bean jean
  • I really dislike these paparazzi photos. Just leave the man alone

  • Long lasting sneakers or similar shoes?
  • I bought a pair of Adidas sneakers (no clue thrle name). They looked like the ultra boost series but without the special™ shoe sole (I think they are no longer being produced).

I bought them in 2012, and wore them in death valley, in the snow in Slovakia, as running shoes in the Forrest and more or less daily for ~8 years. And they still hold up.

Now the Ultra boost Adidas are crooked after ½ year.

  • What movie or show you didn't know was THAT good until you watched it?
  • Since I rate everything I watch for now a about 4 years, I can confirm. Arcane is one of 5 Series with 10 out of 10. (With 200+ rated items)

    Would recommend 100%

  • So Meta is doing great.
  • Some intern is getting fired

  • Bitwarden rolls out highly-requested autofill feature inside form fields
  • Ah okay! That's neat. Especially for the less technically inclined

  • Bitwarden rolls out highly-requested autofill feature inside form fields
  • I don't get it. Was that not a thing already?

  • seamless seeking
  • I've had twitch lag in VLC, but work flawlessly in MPV

  • Swedish music stars call for Israel Eurovision ban over Gaza
  • I know it's not really about Eurovision, but honestly who cares about Eurovision

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger detained over EU tax for luxury watch
  • Ahh, I thought as in "return home". My bad!

  • Very different situations
  • Great. Now I'm hungry.

  • Riot Games' About Vanguard Coming to LoL and How that Affects LoL on Linux
  • I've opened an issue in the Darling Project repository, letting the developers know that there will likely be increased attention due to this situation.

  • What makes you not want to use Linux anymore and maybe move back to Windows, MacOS, or TempleOS?
  • The main reason I started using Linux is because I wanted to use tiling window managers. Maybe take a look at some of those. It's the same idea as Fancy zones just cranked up to 100

  • LineageOS is currently installed on 1.5 million Android devices
  • Of course it's not necessary, but it's nice to have - it's convenient.Thas always the decision you have to make. Either you sell away your data and freedom, and live "convenient", or you don't.

I know that some people have gotten Google pay to work on their rooted phone, but I've had no luck on my Samsung

  • LineageOS is currently installed on 1.5 million Android devices
  • Unfortunately it seems to suffer from the same problems that other custom ROMs like GrapheneOS have these days. The same goes for if you root your stock OS. Like all the normal Android stuff works (even better) but as soon as you want to for example use the tap-payment features or the ID stuff from your government it doesn't work. Also good luck trying to use for example Samsung smartwatches

  • ***buntu
  • No? The meme says Ubuntu based distros that don't change anything bad

  • Why aren’t motherboards mostly USB-C by now?
  • I know for a fact that USB-c is about 1.5× mirco-b.

    https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=usb breakout board

Since USB A is not a slave connector that are no comparable boards on adafruit. So I asked Bing AI:

According to the web search results, the cost of a USB-C connector on a motherboard depends on various factors, such as the manufacturer, the chipset, the data standard, and the features of the motherboard. However, based on some examples of motherboards with USB-C ports, the price difference between USB-C and USB-A connectors with the same speed (USB 2.0) is not very significant. For instance, the ASRock B550M-ITX/ac motherboard has one USB-C port and four USB-A ports, all with USB 2.0 speed, and costs around $120. The [ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0] motherboard has six USB-A ports, all with USB 2.0 speed, and costs around $70. The difference in price between these two motherboards is $50, but this is not only due to the USB-C connector, but also to other factors such as the chipset, the memory slots, the audio codec, and so on. Therefore, it is hard to estimate the exact cost of a USB-C connector on a motherboard with USB 2.0 speed, but it is likely to be less than $10.

  • Blackpill microcontroller always in Boodloader mode

I am not sure where to ask this, so here it goes:

I was soldering my new Cantor split keyboard, which is using two STM32F401 Blackpill microcontrollers. I had to resolder some parts on the left side, so the soldering there is sloppy. Now when I plug in this side, the board seems to be in flashing/Boodloader-mode instantly without me having to press the BOOT0+NRST botton combo. This causes the left side being unable to "type" because it's expecting software.

What pins (or switches?) should I take a look at? What could cause the Blackpill to be in Bootloader mode all the time? I tried to read the Documentation of the board, but I'm afraid all of it went right over my head...

    Thanks in advance!
