Palworld hits 19 million players in less than two weeks - beating the latest Pokémon
  • Which bodes poorly for the people who bought Cradtopia. I remember how mad people were at Wildcard for releasing Scorched Earth while Ark was still in Early Access. Can't imagine how upset they would have been if they had released an entirely different game.

  • I'm not sure what the raw numbers prove. I paid $1 for a free trial of Gamepass to play it. It's an Ark clone with Pokemon. Wasn't that impressed. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills listening to people rant and rave about it.

  • Harvard has gone too far
  • You've obviously not spent enough time around gym bros. I have on multiple occasions overheard conversations about using it as a butter substitute because, "...it has no calories. "

  • Once a pirate, always a pirate
  • You have to keep saying it because it's not true. I've known artists who have seen their work stolen. Until then I never truly understood the hurt it causes them. I watched a normally jovial friend spiral into anger and depression. Sure, pirating some garbage Marvel movie isn't going to impact much. But you take that same mindset and scale it down, and now you are hurting real people.

  • Once a pirate, always a pirate
  • "The only thing that would be necessary for them to create things prolifically would be to ensure their ability to live ..." We can already do this. It's called paying them. Your entire argument is people would make things for free as long as they could get money. Do you realize how nonsensical that sounds?

edit Went ahead and scrolled past this post, counting how many Linux memes I saw. About 3 out of every 10.

  • Just Stop Oil smash glass on paintings at the National Gallery
  • I mean, if there demands were not made of dreams and pixie dust, maybe I would get behind them. They literally have no plan beyond, "we want all oil to stop and the world to be perfect in eight years."
