Porn destroys families which in turn creates broken children that turn to drugs, including porn.
Suicide rate is high with men and their depression is fraught with addictions including porn.
I understand your POV but porn is as bad as hard drugs (because it is). We clearly can't regulate it given how many children get sucked into it. So letting government block this isn't the same as government overstepping into other spheres of freedom.
Excessive freedom that hurts our species isn't "freedom" but a hidden addictive trap that hurts us on a multi-generational level.
Being happy is one thing, but hating on a dead person is something else. Also It's one thing to say "I'm glad his negativity isn't around" versus cussing him out and saying cynical negative things. There's a balance here.
This is my opinion and my experience that hating on the dead isn't a good feeling for the one saying it and others reading it. These people claim to be morally better? Come on
Lots of redditors are coming out of echo-chambers. In fact most of reddit has become one starting from a suffocating top-down control.
They've forgotten how Reddit used to be and so are astounded at how "uncomfortable" Lemmy is given its NON-pyramid like structure.
The discomfort is how the world and free speech needs to be and I'm a non-white Muslim typing this.
None of us is 100% right so we should always be exposed to other POVs and question ourselves to keep ourselves in check and evolve in objective ways.
I hope Lemmy keeps it this way and the money doesn't corrupt things as it always does. Believe you me, advertisers and nefarious actors are already reaching out to Lemmy authors to do exactly that.
Porn should be illegal. It destroys the meaning of sex. Porn is packed with human trafficking and exploitation. Porn wrecks one's brain.
I pray that porn becomes illegal.
Reveling on someone's death no matter how despicable isn't healthy in any way shape or form.
You can choose silence instead of spewing negativity.
