Anyone know of any good books/papers about surviving nightshift work?

Scientific papers are too complicated generally with their vocab and I've trawled through lots of like social media posts and wedmd/live strong type posts.

Any interesting thing I can do with a spent carbon air filter? It's a plate sized, black, netty material, soft, no hard points.

> I only found leave it lying around to absorb odor and like use it to fertilize soil or something

Boss put out an official statement saying we're not allowed sick days 🙌🏿

(unless they jumping through more hoops than a sick person could reasonably do)

Coworkers hard at work defending this policy as usual.

Before there was unofficially no sicks days allowed. But they hired a bunch of new staff and I guess they're not used to no rights yet 🙈

It's not worth repairing phones

Repaired my phone 6 months ago, then it broke again. Repaired it again yesterday, then it broke again next day, so they repaired it again today.

Cost like 160g grand total, could have just bought another phone for that price

Hostels and farm labour sometimes offer long-term lodging to guests for free or at a discount in exchange for work as a receptionist or in housekeeping.

what drugs do libertarians do?

Since they talk about 100% productivity, prob stims. Sedatives/tranquilizers to sleep afterwards?

Antidepressants? Since feeling emotions and being a human machine sounds depressing.

How to Block Loud Footstep Noise from an Upstairs Apartment?

Footstep impact sounds are tough to get rid of. In this post, we hack human hearing and use sound to block loud walking noise from an upstairs neighboor.

CMV: if you work night shift fri, sat, sun and want to have a good social life with friends, you need stimulants (caffeine, modafinil etc)

Or a health thing that means you can still be lively with no sleep.

Or being like a boomer and your friends wake up before like noon.

Also sedatives to sleep. I've had chronic insomnia since starting night shifts

Why do landlords hire only douchebags to be their building caretaker?

> My theory is they hire some guy to swear at you and give you eviction notices every time you try to force them to fix something to discourage you from trying to get anything fixed. > > Ive had 10ish landlords and 10/10 would yell and swear at tenants.

Has anyone noticed tenants (in low quality buildings) don't complain to the landlord and/or city enough about illegal slum conditions in their rental?
