[Game] Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition gets updated, needs a fix on Steam Deck
  • That’s how I’ve been treating any other dev that mistreats the Deck, Rockstar won’t be different. That’s how it should be.

  • Sonic Adventure 2 was a hard miss.
  • I played both ports on Steam recently as I’m taken by a Sonic nostalgia wave. One thing that I like more in the original Adventure is that I can skip the characters I don’t like. But I have mixed feelings with the Sonic levels - there’s just too much camera and collision problems in the way. The second game fixes some of that, but the Tails and Knuckles levels are kinda boring.

Overall, I liked the games. My nostalgia was satisfied.

  • [Help] Performance on External Monitors with the Steam Deck OLED for SCP: Secret Laboratory and Similar Games
  • I have no experience with that specific game, but I connect my Steam Deck quite regularly to a 4k monitor, but running that in 1080p. Some games might depend more on the CPU and can take the bump up from 800p to 1080p just fine. I suggest you playing on the monitor you like the color/brightness the most, regardless of native resolution, locking the framerate at 30Hz and enabling FSR on the side menu. Try 1080p and if you notice a performance issue, go back to 720p.

  • Plucky Squire on Steam Deck

    Plucky Squire review by SteamDeckHQ

I'm a little bit bummed by the performance and RAM glitch on this one. I'm still excited for it though! I'll wait a little bit for a patch, even though is totally playable at launch.

  • I hope it fixes it then! I love the platform:)

  • Random Crashes
  • I hope you got it from somewhere where you can return it. This is not normal and seems like faulty hardware.

  • Do you use a case with your handheld emulators or do you raw dog them?
  • That seems like a nice solution!

  • I’ve never heard of these games, but I’m now interested!

  • Do you use a case with your handheld emulators or do you raw dog them?
  • No, I didn’t. They’re pretty flush with the device and I don’t carry a lot of things they could get caught on in the same bag or pocket.

  • Microsoft paves the way for Linux gaming success with plan that would kill kernel-level anti-cheat
  • My solution to games not supporting Steam Deck/Linux is to simply not buy/play it. It’s not much but it’s honest work!

  • Do you use a case with your handheld emulators or do you raw dog them?
  • R36S (caseless) and a Steam Deck (in a TomToc case) on the last time!

  • Do you use a case with your handheld emulators or do you raw dog them?
  • Mostly raw. I don’t carry them around that much though

  • With SteamOS coming, Microsoft needs to up its game in the handheld gaming market [if it's going to compete]
  • That’s exactly how I think. I don’t care about the games that are unsupported by some bullshit reason like anti-cheat. They just won’t see me as a customer, there’s a lot of other games out there.

  • Musou Games on Steam Deck – Samurai Warriors, Dynasty Warriors, Warriors Orochi, Empires, and Much More Tested on Steam Deck OLED – TouchArcade
  • Good to know! I remember I had issues on my playthrough of P5 Strikers, so I might actually check it out one more time even though I finished it once already.

I never played other musou games, that’s a good list to experiment with.

  • Final Fantasy XVI Demo Steam Deck Gameplay
  • It’s what I expected. I don’t think it’s going to get much better than that. It’s playable though if you don’t care much about frame consistency.
