What was your latest improvement to your Linux setup?
  • If you're comfortable running Docker, check out net probe. It comes with an all in one logging/graphing stack that will probe your internet quality based on lag and packet loss. Default configs is good enough to get you going and you can tinker to your heart's content from there. Probably won't play Black Sabbath automatically though unfortunately!

  • What was your latest improvement to your Linux setup?
  • You will probably hear a lot of hate about Manjaro but I absolutely love it. I have an AMD/nvidia laptop (possibly one of the worst combinations to have according to legend) and Manjaro ended up being the most stable distro for me. It is Arch adjacent but comes with sane defaults. Then I found my-laptop specific kernels and now I am in heaven. Uptime is at 21 days but still buttery smooth 165Hz KDE6 Wayland goodness every time I use it.

I felt the exact same how you do now, once I got it up and running how I liked it, I (almost) never booted Windows again.

  • Government shutters what remained of Women, Genders, Diversity Ministry - Buenos Aires Herald
  • Plenty of Porteños I spoke with (pre Milei) had enough of previous governments' far reaching useless bureaucracies (such as this one). I don't like the guy's political stances either ( i.e. licking West up the arse) but he is doing what Argentina has needed desperately for decades now.

  • Linux Inventor Says He Doesn’t Believe in Crypto
  • You have obviously have not heard of forex and the vast quantity of money that flows through it on a daily basis if you think currencies are not traded as commodities, nor have you heard of places like Argentina or Turkey apparently if you don't know currencies are treated as investments.

There are many many scams in cryptoworld but there is no need to throw out the baby with the bath water as it were. Crypto can and is being used as valid alternative to fractional reserve issued currency; the thriving and resilient darknet proves it so.

  • Israel's far-right minister Smotrich calls to occupy Gaza, take over south Lebanon
  • What world is this dude living in? IDF is trying and failing to occupy Gaza as we speak. The same IDF that currently cannot stop Hezbollah from creating a buffer zone inside Israel, but he somehow wants to play uno reverse. Is he so deluded he doesn't remember what happened in 2006 when Israel tried to launch a ground offensive to occupy South Lebanon? The nuts have* taken over the nuthouse in Israel it would seem.
