  • Yes, because the tariffs already indirectly bind the hands of the Fed. Besides a bit of QT (which doesnt really help because of massive deficit), they can neither raise, nor lower rates without causing a big fire as long as the tariffs are in place, but the situation is getting worse by the day, and reality will soon hit like an empty truck.

And honestly, because of this massive shift in distrust in the US market, even backtracking all tariffs to zero would likely not work anymore.

And the most ironic thing is that due to inflation, even when everything goes back to the way it was before trump (it won't), the US will end up with a bigger trade deficit than before, because the loss of value of the dollar.

  • For AI processing, I don't think it would make much difference if it lasted longer. I could be wrong, but afaik, running the actual transformer for AI is done in VRAM, and staging and preprocessing is done in RAM. Anything else wouldn't really make sense speed and bandwidth wise.

  • Apparently, it's to combat salmonella contamination from fecies on the shell.

European countries instead vaccinate their chickens, have higher hygiene and biosecurity standards (with regular inspections) for farms and frequently collect the eggs to avoid any surface contamination without having to wash their eggs.

  • Don't think it's going to be Trump. Their power hinges on him and his cult. Plus, he is very easy to manipulate, so the perfect marionette.

Elon seems to be a better candidate to take the fall. His cult is somewhat fading.

But honestly they might just prop up one of their goons.

  • I hope you're right, but they will likely try. And the Rule of law has been eroded more and more. They already openly defied a court order to send Venezuelan people to the El Salvador work camp. They gloated about it, too.

And that was all without due process. Some even had hearings scheduled and still got deported into slavery.

Now that he successfully tested the waters with this, I'm not so sure about trusting the rule of law in the US.
