Steam News: An update on Steam Input and controller support
  • Xbox controllers work with windows with pretty much zero configuration. Either use USB or the appropriate receiver dongle. This probably contributes a lot to it's popularity.

Also the older and newer style controllers likely all just report as Xbox controllers and the wired 360 controllers are dirt cheap

  • If it's setup right you can even connect as if you're on the same local network. Or connect using device name as you set it in the admin panel. There's a bunch of stuff you can do

  • Is anyone still playing Command and Conquer Generals (+ Zero Hour)?
  • Ah man. Now I'm gonna have to pull out the ol red alert 2. The only game I've played where 10 hours just disappeared. Started just after breakfast and next thing I realise, everyone in the house is fast asleep and it's pitch black outside.

  • Re:Monster - Episode 5 discussion
  • From the way it seemed to be phrased, the regular kidnapping of other species for procreation sounds like it's a regular thing too.

Ah well, they've left it too late to stop them now :)

  • Last ice bags I saw have cube shapes with little gaps between them to allow the water to fill the bag. So when you rip the bag open they're already more or less seperated.

As for the taste stuff, not so much the ice container, but if it's not fully sealed it can take on the smell and taste of other things in the freezer.

  • OnlyOffice gets stuck if it was last used on a second monitor
  • I've found as long as you select the window, use the keyboard shortcut to select move as you noted, use the arrow keys to move it a few steps, after that move the mouse without clicking and the window often moves with it at that point.

But yeah it's the side effect of an inbuilt setting to remember last location on screen when the app was last used. Just not taking into account that the specific screen location is no longer available.

  • Young adults are getting used to living on a financial cliff
  • Exactly. You get used to the feeling of intense anxiety if you have it all the time. You don't like it, but you get used to it. Same goes for being poor. It's shit, but if you can't get away from it you adjust your life whether you want to or not.

  • I'm a US citizen, people in other countries, what do you think when you read stories like these about the US health care system?
  • I do like that in my country, if there's an emergency, you don't need to think about it. You just get help without fear of being financially crippled for life.

I feel bad for Americans that you can't easily get medical help, even in emergencies.
