What do you think of this prediction?
  • I notice it because the signal drowns out the noise. It's so hard to browse or find interesting new games made by passionate devs because so much low-effort barely-games and hentai visual novels flood it all out.

I'm all for adult sex games but jfc it's just sad how awful and unending their presence is.

  • What do you think of this prediction?
  • I used to support them but when they opened the floodgates to trash games I didn't get much reason to stick around. I miss and crave curation over volume. If both stores have heaps of garbage and steam has far better Linux support with valve actively contributing to and improving the Linux ecosystem.... I'm going steam most of the time now.

Sad as in theory I would support gog more but it seems like they've discarded what made them special.

  • VCs, Very Smart
  • Indeed, I just don't bother. That energy can and should be used in more meaningful, impactful ways like protests and policy changes. Which isn't much but it's the best we got.

  • A supportive husband
  • Yeah, I don't fault them for sticking to their original layouts. Maybe Xbox et all should have used numbers instead of letters. Or symbols, I really like the PlayStation's symbols.

  • How the GOP learned to hate divorce, again
  • In April of 2023, right-wing podcaster Steven Crowder announced that he and his wife, Hilary, were divorcing—an event, he explained to listeners of Louder with Crowder, to which he did not consent. She “didn’t want to be married anymore,” he said, “and in the state of Texas, that is completely permitted.”

Crowder, upset, lamented: “My beliefs don’t matter.”

Fuck you. You consent to be in a marriage, not out.

  • Americans shrug over falling birthrate
  • Every now and then I see a parent having a tender moment with their child and I smile. I then reflect on whether my vasectomy/shirk of parenthood was the right choice.

I always come to the conclusion that it was. Perhaps when I'm older I will feel differently but I just can't imagine that in my life for a long time.

  • [...] has no place in education other than its historic significance to the art of literature.

I don't think it belongs as art in literature. It's garbage, jumbled, mad texts. I'd say it belongs in studies of mythology or the analysis of our frail human minds to accept such idiocy for so long and so deeply.

  • Not to mention the other problematic ones that actively discourage subtlety in favor of dogma. It's not automatically wrong if you covet something. Additionally, your parents earn your honor and respect, they shouldn't be granted it unconditionally.
