Why don't non-Western countries bring up and harangue Western countries about their actions, both past and present?
  • As other commenters have said, they do bring it up, you just don't hear about it on western media. I've experienced it in former soviet, yugoslavia states.

  • Why Socialists Shouldn’t Reject Liberalism
  • Yooo I wrote a comment about it here like last month.

  • What are good coop games you can play with a controller on PC ? I wanna play with my GF :3
  • Heavenly Bodies. You play astronauts on a space station doing menial tasks, but the difficulty is that you have to control all your limbs properly to move around in zero-g. It's tricky (has easier modes tho) but is really satisfying when you learn how to work together to fling screwdrivers around.

  • Right now trying to workshop an idea/essay/post to critique the western marxist call to action "organise, mutual aid, vote" as the end form of leftist politics. In a way, using marxist ideas to modify (or upgrade) liberalism to be more just/moral. Marxist analysis is undeniable, so it must be co-opted. At the same time I think struggle (unions, mutual aid orgs etc.) within the current system is completely justified, I'm no accelerationist. I just think it is interesting from an ideological point of view that for a lot of Western leftists, marxism exists as an extension of liberalism (in the sense of ensuring individual rights i guess), rather than its rejection. For example, I often hear that to really achieve the "american dream" you have to join a union or vote for socdems, without criticizing the initial premise of the american dream. P.S. this was motivated by a youtube person who I thought was revolutionary actually having rather moderate socdem takes (I probably should have expected this).

I am sure there is an article like this on redsails or something, or maybe a thread here that I've missed?

  • Are USians likely notice that the Democrat primary isn't very democratic?
  • I agree. Both Dems and Reps use pseudo-socialist talking points (pro worker, anti rich) so a lot of it is already ingrained in the US psyche. It is not dissonant for them to agree with socialist arguments one day and then with republican newscasters the next day. I’ve had staunch libertarians tell me that they actually want communism more than communists.

  • How do I connect to my local queer community?
  • Yeah womens centers are really hit or miss. Lesbian/gay bars are also an option if you are comfortable with it, but it is a bit difficult to make connections on the spot there. Also, sometimes orgs post more on Instagram or Facebook, so you might want to check those too.

  • How do I connect to my local queer community?
  • Check your local orgs by searching [city name] lgbt organisation and see what pops up. There are usually dedicated locations in bigger cities. I’ve also seen womens centers have an lgbt section. How does this sound for you?
