As opposed to your stance which is fuck people who don't want to have their language massively rewritten. I think it's far more reasonable to make individual accomodations for the non-binary folks that we interact with and accept that language has limitations and can't be changed overnight.
It kind of is actually. Throwing a milkshake isn't likely to cause much harm, and would probably result in an assault charge. Throwing acid can cause serious disfigurement and possibly death, and a far more serious charge.
You can condemn her actions without the hyperbole. This happened before and it didn't result in a wave of acid attacks and I've no reason to think this time will be different.
Do you know that he didn't take a gun safety course? For all we know, he could have had plenty of knowledge on how to safely handle a firearm and simply decided to ignore it for the sake of looking cool. The fact is that no amount of safety training can stop someone who decides to do something stupid.
I absolutely agree with your last point though. There should be extensive training in how to handle a firearm safely required before someone can buy a gun.
I'm pretty sure internet means internetwork, as in between networks. There's also intranets, which are limited access web networks.
You are right that geoblocking really shouldn't be a thing, it's existence is thanks to varying laws and regulations, and most annoyingly, IP distribution contracts.
None of that relates to this murder as based on the description of settler concerns, which are more of an issue in the West Bank rather than Gaza, I'm guessing that this happened in the West Bank. (Where Hamas is not the government.)
Whether the murderers are IDF or settler militants is immaterial to the point of this being an unjustified killing of a Palestinian shepherd living in the West Bank, who is rather unlikely to be a Hamas fighter or involved in the 7th October attack.
How does the atrocities of Hamas relate to the murder of a Palestinian shepherd?
Actually Hammas is spread by contact. If you touched someone who lived next door to someone who's family dog was given to them by someone who had a family member join Hamas, then you become Hamas too.
The only way to innoculate yourself against this pathogen is by loudly and vigorously condemning Hamas for at least two minutes a day.
It should however be noted that condemning Hamas, and having absolutely no affiliation with any of their members provides no protection against Israeli forces mistaking you for a Hamas fighter and subsequently shooting/bombing/starving you to death.
Damn trainsesual agenda, wanting better rail infrastructure.
But it comes with your choice of meme.
Maybe it's how long it's been in development, maybe it's how many times that they've changed direction, or maybe it's just that Ubisoft just put so much garbage in their games, but I predict that this game is going to be a trainwreck.
I was intrigued when they first announced it, but now I'm just so fucking sick of Ubisoft and their bullshit that I'm now just curious to see just how much of a mess it turns out to be.
Well if you want to execute billionaires then I'm not going to stand in your way. But I absolutely oppose having civil courts ordering death sentences.
Well the door fell off in this case... But I'm sure Boeing would like to make the point that this is not typical.
Why is the police even involved in this. Unless the book in question is banned by law, or at least a court order, then there's no reason for the police to be involved.
This is one more case of the police overstepping their authority.
This is a terrible tragedy, but the responsibility for it lies with the driver and not the police. The fact is that the police tried to pull over someone with a warrant for arrest and he fled and caused the crash. I don't think it reasonable to say the officers acted inappropriately, unless you think that a gun wielding felons should be left alone by police.
If the government has even the smallest modicum of dignity, he'll resign or be sacked. It's one thing to enjoy crass and offensive jokes, I certainly do, but there's a time and a place for such humour. I mean he's the Home Secretary for fucks sake! How in the world did he think that that kind of joke would go down well?
I've seen first hand the aftermath of someone's drink being spiked... It's not something I ever want to deal with again. Though I'll bet it was far worse for the unfortunate victim of it.
I think they want the precident of being able to require id verification to access websites. It's a great spying tool for the government, if they can legitimise it's use. First they go for the porn sites to 'protect children'. Then they've got a foot in the door with the infrastructure in place to expand it to other 'objectionable' sites, and perhaps even further.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid and it's just puritanical BS pushed by out of touch politicians who are trying to appeal to the moral busybodies in society.
I guess we'll have to just lock him up while we figure out some way of stopping him committing cybercrime. If only there were some way of preventing him from committing this crime that requires access to a computer to commit. I guess he'll just have to stay trapped in a phyche ward until society can figure this one out.
Sorry for being snarky and sarcastic, I know what you mean and agree with you. My sarcasm is directed more at the judges ruling and your comment is just what sparked me to write it.
Yeah, I was way off... I guess that'll teach me to check my working
Also, good point with the comparison.
