Can I route CAT5 through a toilet?
  • Since you tagged this as serious... Is the plumbing in a chase? That would probably be a better route.

I could probably convince my wife we don’t need the spare bathroom upstairs so it’s not like the toilet will be used much or at least restrict it to non solids use to not cause issues.

Aside from probably not conforming to code, this should be a tough sell. The function of a toilet is straight forward and doesn't involve restrictions due to communication cabling.

Have you considered running a second router as an AP or moving your networking gear to the main level? Either are probably less involving.

  • I like Deezer. I've been using it and telling people about it since Spotify was insistent about being focused on chasing a politically charged content (over) investment instead of delivering quality, behavior driven content based on their algo.

  • Amazon is making its employees come back to the office five days a week
  • It's easy to avoid buying things from Amazon. It's hard to avoid AWS. It would be insane to try to suss out what provider everyone that I buy stuff from uses, and their third party relationships. Regulation is better.

  • Aldi announces wage increases up to $23 an hour; hiring thousands of employees
  • They also tend to make them stand at the beginning of their lane when they don't have customers. Apparently a light signaling that they are available just isn't enough.

Edit: My bad. I've never seen this at Aldi or Lidl. Just other US chains like Food Lion.

  • Posting the shopping cart theory because people had questions in a separate thread
  • Sometimes people walking dogs plan on walking past the same spot on the return trip, so they leave the bag. Sometimes they forget to pick it back up, or forget that they dropped it there and take a different route home. Sometimes bag number two is the next day, or some other person's bag. Generally, if someone's going to pull a shit and split, they're not bagging.
