Gen X Succeeds in Rebelling Against Society by Becoming Culturally Irrelevant
  • It's not. It's real. Gen x are the new boomer.

Speaking of my small towns experience in New Hampshire.

I grew up next to bad people. lots of the Gen x from my town are dead or in prison or getting away with crimes and acting like they should still be able to have a voice in politics and voting.

A lot of them built their careers off of robbing, conning, and drug dealing. Now they are small business owners and people actually think they made it with clean money. So while all the honest kids suffered and got left behind the criminals "made it" and get respect from the older generation because the older generation is naive. I mean it's the same generation that raised these losers...

Morons shot guns directly outside my house to pressure/scare me because I didn't like his pro Jan 6th coup art.

  • It's time to take advantage of Reddit's decline
  • I agree with both posts.

I put lemmy off because the way everyone was explaining it was confusing AF. Everyone comes at you like they are on the street handing out Bibles.

People go through this whole fediverse diatribe. There should just be a universal Eli 5 infographic that each instance shows new users that briefly describe how it works.

Once you remove the decentralized fedi talk it's actually pretty simple to understand.

  • It's time to take advantage of Reddit's decline
  • As far as I'm concerned Reddit=Facebook=Twitter...

Although, it would be nice to see more actual useful communities that don't just latch on to pop politics, news culture, and media trends.

  • In Marion County newspaper raid, a grim threat to Kansans’ First Amendment rights
    1. An article about someone's DUI and personal life is trashy and lame. Its like when newspapers used to out gay men.

    2. Police are just human and can be corrupt and gang like. You should never blindly trust anyone.

    3. I'm sick of waiting for America to collapse. Let's speed this up, whatever the ending is for America's "freedom", we are just wasting time pretending we aren't passed a point of repair of our social collapse. The longer society doesn't fight corruption the stronger corruption becomes. I'm convinced only common men and woman making war can make a change now. Corrupt people aren't going to save you.

  • ADMIN, isn't it time to move from lemmy.world?
  • I agree with you. Lemmy seems to have a lot of entitled people that stifle freedom. It's pretty disappointing.

I always thought "touch grass" was a stupid saying on reddit. But on here I've really wanted to use it. Like ...get outside and see the world is chaos and you're not that significant or special.

  • Why Are Arch Linux Users So TOXIC?
  • I don't understand why people assume everyone reads or watches the content.

I can see how it's annoying... But it's more annoying seeing people complain about it because for some reason they can't possibly fathom that people post without reading/watching. They just seem like control freaks... It's the internet, not a private school or courtroom under oath.

  • Please...

Don't let this end up like the reddit subreddit.

    duplicating stack/containers

Hey everyone! I was wondering the best way to duplicate my Heimdall docker. I was to clone it and use the new to use my VPN ip instead of lan.

    Thanks everyone!
