So, who or what ruined Christmas this year?
  • Bad case of novovirus and the cooker broke down Christmas Eve.

  • What hobby do you have that no one else in your family shares?
  • I do pictures for people who have lost their furries over the rainbow bridge.

  • Lemmy World outages
  • Can I just say I'm kind of annoyed I've had to turn off NSFW. It's pure porn here.

  • Surprise me
  • Well I suppose you could always hop in there with your beloved pet when they move on if you have one? Weird question.

  • Patriots sign former 49ers third rounder WR Jalen Hurd
  • Here in Scotland. I've tried to Google but are they playing a pre season game tonight?

  • The Reddit Protest Is Finally Over. Reddit Won.
  • Lemmy has taken me back to the birth of the Internet and Pirch. But like everything else when the word gets out???

  • It Took 23 Days for Lemmy Posts to Double from 1 Million to 2 Million
  • Want to see more people commenting on threads that have nothing to do with how well Lemmy is doing.

  • kitty getting some quality sleep
  • Too cute

  • has lemmy.world been going down these past few days or is it the app I use?
  • Just checking if this works as I've not been able to comment recently.

  • Lemmy.world active users is tapering off while other servers are gaining serious traction.
  • Happens to me as well. But I find that if I click sign out (no idea why it's saying that, as I'm being told I'm already signed out and need to log back in) it will bring up the log in again.

Also, if that doesn't work, if I click on my photo at the top it will bring up the log in and let's me back in again.

    Weirdness.

  • Reddit kills awards and coins
  • Been giving mine to r/lemmy

  • Reddit kills awards and coins
  • Started doing just that.

  • Reddit kills awards and coins
  • Yep I just got my message from them saying if I don't use them by September, then they will take from me. I still have Reddit as a couple of subs I'm not happy to leave

I was given them by someone who gave me a gold award. I hardly ever bother with them, so do I start giving them out or let them steal them from me?

Edit :Giving them away on r/lemmy

  • Lemmy.world (and some others) were hacked
  • Any truth to what I've heard this may have been done by a group we defederated with?

  • Reddit Refugees on Lemmy, how are you guys liking lemmy so far?
  • I was able to join Lemmy fairly easily at first. Then the updates happened on Lemmy World. Was almost about to give up because I was kind of made to log off then I couldn't log back in for the life of me.

Knew I had to be patient, but at one point I got so frustrated I just deleted the whole thing.

Downloaded it again a couple of days later and all was good. All sorted. Still learning though.

  • joining the fediverse to bitch about reddit is the same as going on a date, and spending the whole night talking about your ex
  • I know r/scams are getting it from admin for refusing to unmake NSFW.

Most of them are going to leave because they refuse to change it.

The amount of nasty comments from members of the sub towards the mods is awful. So a lot of folks on Reddit still aren't really getting it.

  • Reddit Admins hand /r/SnackExchange over to a moderator with no experience. Other subreddit moderators fight in comments.
  • I'm afraid to say I'm a mod on FB lol, but it's a UK US based weather group that I'm very passionate about with 92k members.

Basically as a mod, never argue with a member, never show a member up to the rest of the group, there are better ways to deal with things other than flat out banning someone. Being a mod should be keeping things under control so the group remains a good place to go. That's all.

Our main problem is the fake accounts from the Military pilots wanting to speak to the lovely ladies or make you a killing with bitcoin lol.

  • Almost broke 2.5 million daily total users on Lemmy in the last 24 hours.
  • I've posted more in the week I joined here than I ever did in Reddit.
