No, thats the entire fucking point were having this discussion lmao. Lemmy does not allow individual users to block entire other servers, only other individual users or communities. If I could just simply block the entire hexbear server this would not be an issue, but Lemmy does not have this option.
Yes, duh. The entire fucking point of having different servers is that it allows you freedom of association. I want to be free to associate with most other people on Lemmy, because they are pretty chill and understand basic social human interaction. I want to be just as free to not associate with sealions who keep showing up in my mentions when they're explicitly told that one single thread is not for them.

The lack of a sense of place by Hexbears by absolutely flooding this comment thread is the full and sole reason for me to fully support defederation.
