Man this game makes you feel really boned as a new player
  • Good advice, yea I'll slow down, I only pulled both those as figured even if they didn't synergy it would give me a good starting point for my two teams for Forgotten Halls. Only pulling something new now if it goes well with them.

Not completely f2p, got the $5/mo thing but I am getting lowish on jade.

  • Sites for game discovery?

What do you guys use? I personally like Glitchwave for it's powerful chart building and the user reviews as a whole tend to align with my own.

Backloggd also pretty cool but a little more limited to use, and harder to dig up the old old stuff as its algorithms strongly favor newer.

Anyone else use these or have recommendations of their own?

  • Oh yea, I’m running Kafka, Sampa, Natasha, and Asta. And then Blade, Den, Bailu, and Pela and have crushed all the halls of memory up to my level.

I just feel like a second class citizen when every guide is written like, oh well obviously you have this person, but if not then use (insert other 5 star I don’t have).

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who didn’t jump on this at release rofl. Still been having a blast tho.

Guess I can’t complain too much bc I’ve been able to beat all content so far.

But I feel like whoever designed the banners was like, ok they have a nice foundation of 5 stars with great support and synergy, time to hammer them with dps, make dps blot out the sky.

I started during Blade banner and now have Blade and Kafka, and if I get the next guy I’m going to have yet a third dps than doesn’t synergize with my other dps and has to be supported by a janky ass 4 star team.

I feel like I’m going to be looking at guides for new 5 stars 10 banners from now and still reading how their best possible team consists of Luchua, Silver Wolf, and Bronya yet again.

Getting off iOS is hard as a normie
  • You guys are three levels deep debating whether or not a slang word is acceptable to use to use. I'm afraid none of you qualify, if anything you are the total opposite side of the spectrum from yelling old man.

I'm going to need more being offensive and talking about how things use to be much better. Something like this:

Back in my day people weren't so sensitive, people used whatever words they wanted and nobody cared or said anything about it. I didn't hear my first debate on whether or not a word should be used until I was 30 years old. Now you can't even add ie to the end of norm without some whippersnapper writing a 30 page buzzfeed article about it.

  • Getting off iOS is hard as a normie
  • Yes, Apple is trendy among most crowds. It's like what black champion sweatshirts were to college kids.

But I will agree it's perfect for the low to average technical background person. You don't have to worry about a password manager, a decent one is build in, you don't have to worry about a messaging app, a good one is built in. I believe the term is "it just works". There's no way I'd suggest something different for say my Mom, it's perfect for her. With a little tutoring she has secure passwords sets for all her sites and did it all herself. I doubt she would of been able to accomplish that with any other system.

But then that leads to the problem that she likes it so much that she doesn't want me to change and leave her ecosystem that she's so proud of figuring out lol.

  • Yea, I was just trying to vent my frustrations and joke around while I look at this Galaxy Z Flip for the 9th time. Tough crowd, I don't even use 4chan. Maybe I should stick with iOS, at least my iPhone cult friends have chill rofl (unless you are talking about leaving iOS).

  • Getting off iOS is hard as a normie

Things like the cool new lemmy apps and the fold phones like the Galaxy Z Flip make me really want to change but it's tough.

Any so much of a mention of leaving iOS for android around my normie friends or family leads to weirdly aggressive responses. They want to by able to react my messages and rename the group chats in their normie iMessage. They want to be able to stalk me with their normie Find My Friends app. They react like taking that away from them is basically stabbing them in the back. It's like I just told a hardcore Trump supporter that Biden is #1 to their face. Normies are brainwashed.

It feels like I'm trying to leave a cult. It's like I'm trying to leave the Mormon religion. It's like I'm trying to get off drugs when everyone I know uses.

I just want you techies to know I'm jealous of your freedom. Maybe one of these days I can get clean.

    Any RSS services with deduplication?
  • Nope, unfortunately a lot of places now a days either don’t, are dropping support for it, or just don’t have good options. They want you on dem apps $$.

Fortunately tools like RSS-Bridge and RSShub make it an easy fix.

  • Any RSS services with deduplication?
  • Yea, not selfhosted but I guess paid services still have their advantages sometimes lol. I activated the trial to test it out.. maybe one day soon a selfhosted option will provide it.

  • Any RSS services with deduplication?

I’m getting around to setting up and trying to use RSS for the first time. I like it so far, except for one thing, the time efficiency of it. When there is a new story picked up by all outlets I have to hit mark read 5+ times for near identical copy/pastes of the same story.

Currently using miniflux but wasn’t sure if there where any other solutions. Honestly almost has me considering just spending $5/mo for a paid service like Inoreader or Feedly since deduplication is a big feature they advertise. Main thing stopping me is the fact they don’t index sites without RSS that I use RSS-Bridge for such as AP News, and I’m hesitant to share my selfhosted RSS-Bridge URLs with a public site.

How many of you are using ChatGpt to help you with your work, and not telling your boss/co-workers?
  • Just chiming in as another person who does this, it's absolutely perfect. I just copy and paste the company bs competencies, add in a few bs thoughts of my own, and tell it to churn out a full review reinforcing how they comply with the listed competencies.

It's perfect, just the kinda bs HR is looking for, I get compliments all the time for them rofl.
