Ich befürworte die Förderung von Wohnbaugenossenschaften.
Ich bin selbst Mitglied einer solchen Genossenschaft und wohne auch in einer ihrer Wohnungen.
Das Konzept überzeugt mich: Sie stellen bedürftigen Menschen günstigen Wohnraum zur Verfügung und sind nicht primär auf hohen Gewinn ausgerichtet, wie es oft bei Privatunternehmen oder -personen der Fall ist.
Als Mitglied einer Genossenschaft hat man zudem ein Mitspracherecht darüber, in welche Richtung sich die Genossenschaft entwickelt.
Ein Nachteil ist jedoch, dass es oft schwierig ist, Mitglied zu werden – manchmal werden die Wohnungen sogar per Losverfahren vergeben.
Ich denke, hier könnte der Staat eingreifen und den Genossenschaften ein Vorkaufsrecht für Wohnraum gewähren oder sie finanziell unterstützen, wenn es nötig ist. So könnte man die Anzahl der Menschen die in Wohnbaugenossenschaften unterkommen können erhöhen.
