- Made my iPhone 15 Pro Case's Notification Button textured. Very happy this worked.
So I got this case for my iPhone 15 Pro since it allowed it to lay flat. However the Volume and Notification buttons have no texture to them, making it difficult to tell which button is which when it's in a pocket.
So I had an idea. What if I heated a file with a heat gun. Then pressed it into the Notification button.
This was the result and I am very impressed. No way I will mistaken it with the volume rocker going forward.
- Macbook Pro battery draining overnight
I've got a 2.9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9 Macbook Pro (yes, the one with the touchbar and the keyboard nobody likes)...
Anyway, it's been working great, aside from this issue which seems to happen on occasion, when I don't keep it plugged in overnight. It will just drain real fast sometimes.
What causes batteries to just drain over the course of an hour or so?
- I saw the New Mac Mini on display
I love the idea of it, and I love how tiny it is. Will probably get one when money isnโt so tight.
But I was curious if the power button was accessible without lifting it. And it genuinely isnโt. Why does Apple like shoving important IO and buttons underneath the device. Good thing itโs light?
Oh and a funny thing was the staff had to loosen its mount on the table so you could turn it on.

- Loose iPhone 15 series USB-C port?
Anyone with an iPhone 15 series device find their USB-C port to be loose? When I have it plugged in the car for CarPlay my cable frequently pops out if I nudge it accidentally. Iโve tried different brands of cables, and all of them wiggle loose eventually.

I remember in 2007, buying my first MacBook. It came with an enormous 2gb of RAM. I asked about upgrading it. The guy leaned in conspiratorially and told me that Apple's RAM upgrades were a rip-off, and that I'd be better of buying it elsewhere. So I did, for half of what Apple were asking.
This is a grift that Apple have had for far too long, and there's a part of me that's convinced that their move to soldered RAM was to stop people upgrading after the fact more than it was about SOC efficiencies.
