The bullet hell game 'Darkchaser:Battletide' has released an update roadmap and revealed that the game is about to end the early access test and officially launch.
Run lutris and add a game using the plus sign at the top and select "Install from a local install script."
5.b Drag the script file downloaded in step 3 into the lutris search bar and click install. You will see a second window prompting you to install "GOG with Classic REbirth." Click install again.
5.c Another window will pop up, and here you can modify the settings to your liking or just click continue.
5.d The next window will prompt you to locate the Resident Evil GOG setup exe, which was downloaded in step 1
I learned now about the export/import tool, but this wouldn't help me anyway since my steamdeck couldn't boot neither of the 2 boot environments.
After reinstalling the OS and emudeck I noticed some systems still had saves but others didn't.
I dig into it and found that the save folders for thoses systems were just links to the home partition. Since I lost my OS and had to reinstall I also lost the data on my home, including those saves.
I would expect the saves to be all in the Emulation/saves folder on my SD card so I could easily reinstall the whole system without loosing them.
It seems the easiest way out is to create symlinks from the SD card to the home partition, not the other way around. First one needs to move the folders to the ad card.
The emulators I use and don't save directly to the SD card are:
undefined
retroarch
riujinx
citra
Ppsspp
dolphin
When I find motivation I will write a shell script to make the links for me and move things around.
The Steam Deck is a uniquely stutter-free Elden Ring machine, and with our settings guide, you can secure smoother performance in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
So, I installed Palia on Steam Deck. First, it failed to start till I chose to run it with Proton Experimental.
Then, the problem I’m running into - I want to log into my account. But every time I select the email/username field and then bring up the Steam virtual keyboard, the form field loses focus. That means I’m typing and nothing is getting typed.
How do I fix this? Is the only option to use an external physical keyboard?
Moonlight and Sunshine together are awesome, giving you a great open source way to stream games from one device to another and the latest Moonlight PC release brings in some big new features.
Enshrouded, the big open world survival and crafting game from Keen Games, just had the big Enshrouded: Melodies of the Mire update released. Should be good news for Steam Deck players.
PCcontroller support is just one hurdle games like Besiege would need to overcome; Spiderling Studios says it's not as simple as copy-and-pasting the console's code.
Another round of Steam Client Beta updates are here with Steam Deck and Desktop PC seeing lots of improvements and bug fixes, and it's especially nice for people using Bluetooth on Steam Deck.
