Investigators said they had identified a suspect in the case by Monday evening, and he had been linked to a total of three cases which were apparently “politically motivated”.
That man later contacted officers, told them he wanted to “confess a crime involving an ATV driver within the last 24 hours” and asked to be picked up, police said in a statement. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 22-year-old man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
I don't think he murdered anyone, actually. Just ran them over, hospitalizing the 80 year old. In fact we don't even know the other related incidents involved running anyone over, I guess, though that was my assumption. The article is light on the details.
I read the article and, respectfully, I'll disagree. Three incidents, a proffered confession and a suicide. Sometimes the circumstantial evidence adds up. Too bad for the victims, hey?
Listen: I'm not a sentimental type, but where sick people are struggling I'm all for making ALL of the help available. Where sick people lash out outside of treatment, criminally, I say the system failed and actions have consequences. You can't be subjective here, or you lose the thread in the decision tree.
Gentle with the down votes, friends, I already know I'm the asshole here.
Yours is a valid opinion and you're not being an asshole here, even if I don't agree with you. If I thought you were I'd downvote, but I don't think so.
