That’s the beauty and curse of language. It is constantly morphing and changing depending on public sentiment. I truly believe in another 40-60 years, “fuck” will be a perfectly normal word for a 6 year old to say instead of “oops”.

Oops and fuck do seem mostly interchangeable.
For example: "get oopsed"
Kinda clunky but still works.
