I have some very wealthy distant biological relatives, and they're pleased to invite me over to their estates, fancy functions and pompous expensive restaurant and wine tasting outings, but apart from the culinary dabbing and "advice" and life changing epiphany stories of triumph over mild failson adversity, they will never give actual money. Also yeah, one of my parent's friends is really rich (like owns an actual factory rich) and she always does that smug thing where they're like "oh I worked so hard to get where I am, you shouldn't be so lazy."
