Its an old slogan, it was a thing before trump used it
Yeah... but Trump has pretty effectively run it's respectability into the ground.
It (MAGA) was never respectable. It was a racist dog whistle when Reagan used it, when Octavia Butler used it in her dystopian novel Parable of the Talents and yes, even when Bill Clinton did.
