because everyone is tired of work and life. I'll do those things if I get some time off, like two years or so
Or tied to having income. Hobbies are expensive, time and money wise.
Some hobbies are cheap. For example, if you have a computer right now, you already have the means to learn programming. Free compilers and IDEs exist.
Same with electronics design. Just check out some books from the library and harvest components from dumpster devices.
