How will the average lemming, Democrat, Republican, American and non-American react when Biden loses this election?

Every once in a while I read a new poll showing how historically unpopular he is. How do you think people individually and in groups will react to this seemingly inevitable (to me) result? How will society react and, if possible, change?

  • I'm going to do the same thing I did when Trump won last time: laugh at Democrats for allowing this to happen by being uselessly arrogant, anti-Left idiots.

Libs will probably once again be in denial and cry about it for months.

Right-wingers, let's just hope the most they do is gloat.

    • Laughing while fascists rise to power is sad. Hope the US does not bring the rest of the world with them while crashing and burning.

      • Hope the US does not bring the rest of the world with them while crashing and burning.

They've been doing that since the end of the cold war... Iraq, Somalia, Haiti, the Balkans/Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq (Again), Afghanistan (again), Libya, Syria, Yemen, Israel - Palestine, Ukraine. Haven't even mentioned AFRICOM.

How could it get any worse? Will the nukes start flying?

        • How could it get any worse? Will the nukes start flying?

Yeah, maybe. Despite the US' best efforts to fuck things up, much of the people around the world has gotten it better the last hundred years.

          • Yeah that's true I guess. I just hope as the world changes, no one does anything crazy with nuclear weapons. Or balkanisation of the major world powers. That could be disastrous.

            • Also, I think nihilism in some cases actually displays privilege. Apart from being socialist, I would probably not be the prime target of fascist reactionary and nationalistic behavior. Therefore I do not think I can morally allow myself to laugh about it at all, but rather channel despair into rage and willingness to fight back.

              • Honestly, fuck that. It has nothing to do with privilege or nihilism.

I am a prime target of fascism and Nazism, I'm far from a nihilist but I still laugh. Dark comedy exists as a coping mechanism for a reason and the West has done it to itself. It's not entirely comedic, I am horrified of certain developments that can happen, but I'll laugh along the way.

                • Then I was wrong to assume that privilege of you and you can disregard what I wrote. I tend to assume privilege of those I interact with because in the majority of cases it is true. Most people with privilege also are quite unaware of it. As I think it is our moral imperative to stand up for our comrades in need, I will continue to urge those with positions to act to do so and not get pacified on the expense of those that will seriously hurt from it.

    • I mean, the liberal denial has started already. Look at the number of downvotes this post has already, compared to the number of valid arguments in the comments. (12 up, 29 down; 23 comments)

It's not about making a convincing case or appealing to logic or reason, it's about liberal suppression of dissenting views to preserve a worldview that was already archaic when it was first mainstreamed in the US in order to deny ethnic, sexual, class, and religious minorities a seat at the table with the ever-present and looming cudgel of fascism as the failsafe.
