I have never understood the hate for Ghostbusters II. It's the quality of the original, but larger in scale. And where would we be as a society without all those Vigo quotes?
I never understood it either. I enjoyed the hell out of both of them when I was younger and the same today.
I think it is a fun movie too and don't understand it.
Fun fact: a couple years ago I was watching it and there is a scene where a woman predicts the end of the world and it turned out to be the exact day I was watching it down to the month, day and year. It freaked me out haha.
