  • My grandfather owned one of these back in the very late 80s. I think I was around 10 at the time. I remember him buying it from a scrapyard, moving the gas tank, and then dropping a supercharged 289 into it and racing it at a nearby airstrip on the weekends for beer money and cash. That car was so much fun to ride around in.

    Ive always been sort of fond of those ugly ass cars. i dunno why. my opinion on automobiles is changing, but for the longest time I wanted to find one somewhere, rebuild it, and drive it around as my daily.

      Some ugly cars - cough - turn a corner and they're sort of cool. I don't remember but I must have seen some Pinto wagons when I was a boy in the 1970s. I thought of such wagons as dumb "mom cars". But now seeing one lowered with tinted windows - for me it has swagger somehow.
