Realistically it's more likely she uses LibreOffice because it's free or she has a specific gripe with MS Office, but either way I thought it was a fun detail.

I think she's explicitly mentioned it's because it's free.
If she has a problem with the price that's still down to her principles being closely FOSS aligned because in her case it certainly is a case of "doesn't want to pay" versus "can't pay"
She's a LibreOffice user...nice.
