Question: if I buy figs commercially, will they contain dead wasps? Or, is this something that only happens naturally?
- By the time the fig gets to you, the wasp would long have been digested/dissolved by the plant.

- As far as I know it isn't actually something that happens with the figs we eat. I think it is a specific type of fig and a specific wasp that does this.
  
  Also, the wasp in question is absolutely tiny.
